Varun, you haven't mentioned your Category. This answer is being written assuming that you belong to Telangana. Your rank can be predicted by using the formula, (100-your total percentile)*869010/100. In your case, your approximate rank would be 3476. Let's say the number of candidates for April exam increased to 12,00,000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 12,00,000/100.

Based on the cut offs of previous years mentioned in https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-warangal , in 2018, under General Category an All India Rank of 2977 secured a seat in NIT, Warangal under Home Quota. Now cut offs change every year depending on various factors and so we would suggest you still do not give up hopes. But if you belong to any other Category, please do let us know so that we can help you with your chances. But you have decent chances for CSE branch in NIT Calicut. Should you opt for JEE Advanced, you have very good chances because the expected qualifying percentile for JEE Advanced is 85 and above. Now to predict colleges, please use our college predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor

Hello,

National Institute of Technology, Warangal is among the leading governmental engineering institutions in India. The companies which come for campus placements have offered a highest package of 43 lpa in last year. The average package offered was 17-18 lpa. A total of 120-150 companies visit the campus every year.

This is a very decent percentile. With this much percentile, your rank will be around 3600-4100. With this rank, you have very high chances of getting into NIT trichy and NIT warangal.

In NIT trichy, you may get admission into Mechanical, Civil, Chemical. Based on the last year's cutoffs, you may also get Electronics and Communication Eng. at NIT trichy.

In NIT warangal, you may get into "Electrical and Electronics Eng.", "Mechanical Eng." easily. Based on the last year's cutoffs, you may also get "Electronics and Communication Eng." at NIT warangal.

Hello

If you belong to the general category, chances would be less of getting admission in NIT Warangal or any other NITs.

You can get a seat through state level counsellings. Use the JEE Main College Predictor Tool to check the colleges where you have chances of admission and the engineering branches which you can get based on your percentile, category, home state,

Good Luck!

It’s difficult to predict actual rank or JEE advanced qualify marks. you may calculate your expected rank by this formula

100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 869010 are the number of candidates appeared for Jan exam. So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 869010 /100. If the number of candidates for April exam increased to 1200000 then your final rank shall be (100 - your total score) X 1200000/100

So your rank might be around 5000 . But it may change as more students register in April Exam .

But the last year closing rank was around 2000 for HS and 500 for OS . But if you try more , you may get CSE in NIT Trichy . But I'll advise you instead of going to NIT Trichy , you can also explore IIIT HYDERABAD as it is very reputated for CSE . Moreover there are many top NITs where you can easily get CSE .

Hey there,

Good Greetings

If you eager about the previous year  cutoff rank for different NITs which offer various courses then this link might help  :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches

if you are enthusiast about any particular NIT , IIT or Govt engineering college . then feel free to ask .

Happy Helping !!!!

NO, you can't apply to a NIT using your JEE Advance rank. NITs strictly will accept your JEE Mains rank which is a combination of your JEE Main marks and your Board Examination percentage.

In the current years JEE Mains is conducted twice in a year. So if you couldn't score good in 1st attempt, you can go for a 2nd attempt.

hi,

see cutoff score differs year to year, depends on lot of factors like, number of participant, questions difficulty level , seat matrix etc, now nit warangal, tricy and suratkhel all are the top nits and computer science is a most demanding field , so you need to secure 93+ percentile to secure seat in those nits.

Hello,

Even having 98% percentile , your rank will range above 20k. If your rank is below 50k then you can get an admission in one of the NIT campus for sure.

as per previous year, the cutoff for general category NIT warangal was :- 2977(male) and 4632 (female) for home state.

For more cutoff :- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-nit-warangal

The main concept here is if  Many candidates are ahead you then your rank will increase even your percentile is 98% or above.

Previous year cutoff:- https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff

If you know your score then you can approximately estimate how much your rank will be.

Hope it helps!
