The North East Regional Institute of Science and Technology ( NERIST ) is one of the most renowned institutes for Engineering. The institute is a government institute of Deemed To be a University tag. The institute offers 13 degrees in 50 courses.

Talking about the placements, the placements are fair here, not excellent. Various renowned companies like Sony, Tata, Indian Oil, Wipro, NHPC, Huawei, Godrej, Oil India Limited, Power grid, Yes Bank, GAIL India Ltd., Infosys, Ashok Leyland, etc. visit its campus for recruitment. The average salary offered to the candidates is INR 3 Lakhs per annum.

Hello Ses, NERIST entrance exam is similar to that of JEE exam, the standard would be almost similar, so one can yield good results from JEE by reading and preparing thoroughly the NCERT, but for physics if you want a deeper understanding, I would recommend you HC.Verma's book. So, I can say that yes NCERT course book is sufficient for NERIST exam.

33 is a good enough rank in the waiting list of NERIST.
Usually it cannot be predicted if you will get a confirmed seat or not because it depends on how many students in yhe merit list confirm their seats. However, there are still quite good chances of your admission.
Thus, I suggest you to atleast attend the counselling to ensure that you do not get missed out just in case they reach upto your rank.

North Eastern Region Institute of Science and Technology, Arunachal Pradesh doesnot accept admission through JEE Mains score.

A state level exam is conducted in three phases for certificate, diploma and degree courses inn technology (3 phases).

• 3 phases, namely, NEE-1, NEE-2 and NEE-3.
• The candidates must confirm their eligibility for all the 3 phases of the entrance examination.
• NEE 2018 application form is available on the official website.
•  Students must note that NEE 2 and NEE 3 will be held on the same day.
• The reservation criteria for NERIST NEE 2018 is divided into three different categories such as All India Quota, State Quota and PD Quota.

No you dont need to give!Actually NERIST has a different pattern of admissions. There is the diploma course offered to students after 10+2 through NEE II which is the entrance exam. This course is of 2 years. Candidates can further appear for NEE III after completing their diploma to avail admissions to the degree course which will be of 2 years. The institute doesn't offer a B.Tech course directly to students after class 12.
