Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) Facilities

Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU), Gandhinagar provides various infrastructural facilities to the students, staff and faculty members. PDEU facilities include a library that has a collection of sources, resources and services. The library has been automated using Alice for Windows (AfW) - an international user-friendly library package. The software facilitates automated circulation (issue-return) of books and speedy access to bibliographic, location and availability information of the books in the library. There are 5520 books, 44 journals, 141 CD’s all kinds of newspapers at PDEU library.

Pandit Deendayal Energy University has a number of sector-relevant engineering laboratories which are well-equipped to facilitate the pedagogic and research process. PDEU Gandhinagar facilities have air-conditioned lecture halls to give a comfortable ambience to the students to learn and develop more. All the PDEU lecture halls are equipped with projectors and PCs. Pandit Deendayal Energy University has a cafeteria and food court that provides refreshments throughout the day. The university has a Performing Arts room which is built to keep the culture alive in SLS. Students prepare and practice for their Dance, Music, Drama etc competition and SLS cultural activities in this room. Theatre, Music and Dance class is also conducted here. It has mirror on one wall and empty space to practice. To enable students to comprehend and use languages efficiently PDEU has set up a multi-media language laboratory (Language Lab) and the Language Lab is fully furnished and air-conditioned. The Language Lab at PDEU is a Computer-based laboratory with the flexibility to conduct laboratory sessions without computers.

PDEU campus facilities include separate hostels for boys and girls that offer furnished hostel rooms on three seat sharing basis subject to its availability. There are Wi-Fi enabled hostel blocks which are well-designed to meet the general needs of the students. PDEU has set up a wellness centre which offers cardio and weight training equipment and helps students workout under the expert supervision of a certified trainer. As part of its wellness initiative, the university also provides an open ground for outdoor games, such as football and cricket and practice courts for basketball, volleyball and badminton. Some other Pandit Deendayal Energy University campus facilities are gymnasium, sports facilities, auditorium, Wi-Fi facility and other facilities.

Boys Hostel
Our on-campus residential facilities offer furnished hostel rooms on a three-seat sharing basis subject to its availability. This is an optional facility offered to the students. There are Wi-Fi enabled hostel blocks that are well-designed to meet the general needs of the students.
Girls Hostel
Separate hostels are available for the girls' students. Hostels provide comfortable spaces for the students to gather together and organise group activities. Emergency medical facilities are available in the hostel at any point in time. A well-equipped and comfortable lounge is also available to facilitate group activities.
Gym
University has its Wellness Center Facility available on charge basis. When living on campus you are more likely to visit these facilities during specified hours
Library
Different departmental libraries are present within the campus. The libraries have a vast collection of books and journals in order for any kind of information to be accessible to the students. Also, the libraries have a subscription to various e-resources through which students can avail various ebooks and journals.
Sports
The university provides various facilities for outdoor games which include open ground for football and cricket, practice court for basketball, volleyball and badminton.
Cafeteria
The food court in the university provides healthy food which is chartered by the dietitians and refreshments throughout the day.
Auditorium
Air-conditioned lecture halls of the university give the comfortable ambiance to the students to learn and develop more. All the Lecture Halls are equipped with Projectors and PC. They have comfortable seating of rotatable chairs. There are around 10 Lecture halls for School of Liberal studies.

Laboratories
Well equipped laboratories are present within each department of the university. Some of the laboratories include Physics Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, Thermodynamics Laboratory, Radiation Measurement Laboratory, Network Theory Lab, Power Electronics Lab.
Physical Challenged Student
University campus have ramps and lifts in its 80% of the building for the physical challenged students.

It was excellent, with all the good facilities, laboratories, and IT needs. All the needs were catered on time. The administration regularly updates all the facilities as and when needed, as per the reviews by students.

College have an excellent infrastructure and also very advanced lab for individual branch. College classroom has all facilities which will needed to students like all classroom are air-conditioning and wifi.

College Infrastructure

Infrastructure of PDEU is really good. They have all the necessary facilities and equipment. Classrooms has smart boards, WiFi, AC and are all used and well maintained. And absolutely the living spaces are clean and the food is hygienic.

hi,

see for entrance exam there is no specific cutoff and marks and it changes every year. however the qualifying exam criteria for nirma, daiict and pdpu is mentioned below.

nirma university- candidates must passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam with at least of 45% marks for the General category. Candidates belonging to SC/ SEBC categories must score 40%. candidates must have physics and mathematics along with Chemistry/ Biology/ Computer/ Vocational Subject.

daiict- candidates must passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics and any one of Chemistry/Bio-technology/Computer Science/Biology.

pdpu- candidates must passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam with Mathematics, Physics and chemistry as compulsory subjects. marks criteria is 45% marks in 10+2 for general category, for sc/st it is 40%.
