Good Place To Get Academic/ Non Academic Exposure

PDPU has a well-built infrastructure gilded with the peaceful green environment. Offers good security to its students. Mess food is usually good but sometimes it's not. Faculties recruited are good with their concepts but at the same time not able to deliver knowledge to students. High tech labs are also provided to students Students get a number of opportunities/platform to show/enhance their skills. PDPU is a bit difficult to afford but it's a good option for mediocres if there are limited choices to opt. Placements play a major role in defining the credibility of a college. Here placements are not upto one's expectations but there are fair chances for everyone to get placed in a private firm.

PDPU has excellent Infrastructure with above average placement, faculty are ok, but has a good industrial exposure. Overall college life is very good. PDPU keeps hosting various events and programs for overall development of the students. But everything comes with a price, and the college is quite expensive.

I am in 2nd year of Chemical Engineering, life at Pdpu until now, placements are decent, faculty is average. A few feedbacks are Positives: Great campus and infrastructure. Active student technical chapters (SPE, SEG etc). Quality of petroleum engineering education is good compared to other schools in the nation. Great opportunities for research, if you are interested in research filed, college provides funding upto 2 lakhs. Negatives: Nascent brand and minimal name recognition, very expensive, faculty overrated, not all branches have good placements.

Infrastructure is excellent, placements are average, faculty is good, exposure is excellent, you will have a very good life for four years. Also 50% of students are of Gujarat while other 50% seats are from All India quota. In the first year if you belong from out of state one might face problem to get along with Gujaratis but as the time passes one gets used to it and develops friends within a few months of time.

The infastructure of the college is really great with different buildings , separate For SLS , petroleum , engineering and management. The cultural fests and sports festival are worth being in . Apart from this PDPU also provides opportunities for students to exposure internationally.

The School of Technology is good, but the credit goes to the diversity of students who come here. The Faculty standards are really not good. You will hardly find an expert for any Subject or Department. The same faculty might be teaching you 5 different subjects in 5 different semesters. This practice, surely compromises the Quality in Teaching and the Sincerity of the Professors. The assistant professors are loaded with tons of work, so they certainly don't get time for preparing well. The senior and experienced faculties are usually appointed in the last year. The un-experienced faculties lead to unclear concepts which again reflects in the interviews. Some faculties don't really see Engineering as professional course and rather take it as some sort of schooling. Students get detention because of attendance......! like really... They will force you to attend those dumb and boring lectures, concepts of which even they know superficially. The professors lack knowledge and experience. Only 5 % of the professors can speak good English. There is not a single faculty which leaves you awe struck with his teaching. The professors are heavily reliant on "POWER-POINT PRESENTATIONS". Even the subjects with involvement of heavy mathematical concepts and algorithms are taught on Presentations. The mid and End Question papers are tough and not that predictable. Its not easy to score. The college clubs and activities keep up the high spirits in the Campus. University will give you best exposure in all terms but the academics part is upon you. Most students tend to sleep in class or rather go on a mental vacation in class. Nevertheless there are people who think for this too. In a nutshell the faculties for 1st and 2nd year are as bad as you can expect. the final and pre-final year faculties are good but not excellent. The placement depends upon you. Overall it is worthy attending, only if the Fees is lessened.

One of the best architectural campus of the Gujarat. But if you see the green lawn dont walk on it you would be fined. With many courses running in the campus there is much diversity which in turn helps you. Exciting fests, events and competitions makes everything feel alive. Comparatively good system, knowledgeable faculty and very good exposure. Placement is still a worry for some branches. And so is affordability. And Computer and ICT branches were introduced in 2016 only making its outcome unknown.

If you want to have an exciting cllege life this is where you have to land. An engineering university having this good infrastructure and curriculum is hard to find. The study system is bit less loaded than other big names in Gujarat and that makes attendance problems seem equal. Mess food is good and so is the industrial exposure and the placement depends on the branches and your skills. Very high fees is a drawback

With over 6 different branches in the field of technology, and apart from that having school of liberal studies i.e opportunity for pursuing b com. bba, pdpu contains a large variety of students from different ethnic backgrounds allows a greant amount of cultural exchange. Pdpu provides you with great opportunity for industrial exposure by conducting various trips to kandla port, or different dams, depends on the branch you are in. Different national level fests are organised and also cultural exchange of students take place in which students of pdpu are sent to various developing countries such as egypt, turkey etc. PDPU is a part of aisec community from where you can do your desired internship in foriegn countries. Still not satisfied? There's international exposure program in which students are sent to generally usa, canada and many other countries to study. I think students need that kind of exposure and pdpu helps in fulfilling it.

The student paradise

Pdpu has naac credition and has an average overall cgpa of 3.39/4.the amazing college life, cultural and technical fests are just the part of it. On the bigger picture we have international exposure program which helps student in learning what exactly the real world has to offer, international and national conferences which acts as the confidence booster for students, motivates them to do better and also adds up to your CV. Apart from this pdpu has these student chapter per branch which help students in learning their subjects. Moreover they organise industrial visits so that students can get the good experience of the field. Life at Pdpu is pretty much chilled out if you leave the fact that students complain about less attendence rule which is kind of necessary, or else no one would attend college. All in all pdpu provides vast opportunities at your feet so that you can pick whichever opportunity you like and go for it. Pdpu gives us a choice.

Good exposure, great infrastructure, but it needs time to develop into a top college. Absolutely loved the crowd, relatively very nice. Liked the faculty, many of them are amazing at the work they do. Loved the on-campus activities, that kept everyone busy. The campus is small but beautiful, the infrastructure is top notch. Labs are good, teaching is good and there are strict rules sometimes meant to be followed. In terms of employment, the college does provide placement support but they need a few years for the corporate bonding to come up onto the big picture. There is instability in terms of placement, and the management is vague sometimes, in many important issues. The fees is another let down now, because it is sky high. If you can neglect these things, or you are going to join it in 2015 or later and you can afford the education, it is a good bet. Probably in the top 5 colleges in Gujarat.

The exposure and vastness of subjects fascinated me the most about this college. Infrastructure-wise its top notch, faculty works good, can be improved, the ability to understand the subjects&then taking up an informed decision is something that I really love about this college. It provides exposure in terms of International Exposure Programs and Exchange Programs. Ample opportunities for extra curricular activities is promoted through functioning of clubs and committees. Overall it was an excellent experience.

I had a tremendously and astonishingly awesome experience by getting admission in such a prosperous college whose chairman is Mr Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani. The infrastructure of the college is such that other college students can be jealous of. The faculty is obviosly not that good according to the Couse Fees but that is the same cases in other colleges as well.Still recommend the college for the extra curricular activities that the college focusses. The crowd is good.

Overall collage is good with fantastic infrastructure and industrial exposure. Placement scenario is not great but it's improving every year . Fees is very high and 4 years of graduation can cost around 10 lakh which is immensely high . That's why I advise you to not take this collage but if money is not an issue for you then it's a great option for you.

The hostel and mess are very good compared to other colleges.Though the fees are quite high, You won't regret coming to this college as the experience here is great. The sports culture, which has now become one of the pillars of the university. Its all because of the marvelous work that students are doing every year during Petro Cup. You have coaches for every sports discipline. You get a fair shot at all the open spots on the team sheet. The cultural and technical events have grown in numbers and quality over the years. Through Flare and now, Tesseract. The quizzing culture and the videography, photography , street plays , all these activities have grown from the days when I started , by leaps and bounds. People , localities or non localities , they gel every well together in my opinion. Try befriending a Gujarati , they are really cool people and they have their own way of living a life. Hostels , classrooms , mess , library and gardens. They are big and properly maintained. The festivals like Navratri and other local festivals are celebrated with full zeal and enthusiasm. Gaming culture, be it CS , DoTA or any other , people here are good at everything. Teachers though not up to the standards of IIT or NIT's but they are good compared to other colleges and with other perks that come along, its a bitter sweet trade off. Placements , well , they are a headache in every stream , MBA including. The fees is bit on the high side and the administration can do a better job. And yes they have SLS too. Where all the creative people gather and they keep on doing something or the other which keeps PDPU in the news. So, in totality if you ask me on a scale of 10 , I would say PDPU is 7 on 10.

This is a very costly college. But the facilities and education provided by the college and the atmosphere for gaining knowledge has been able to overcome that small shortcoming. The food provided is very good and every student likes it which is not the case in other colleges. Also the crowd here is very good and everyone here comes for learning as they know about the amount their parents are paying for them. The college has very good infrastructure with ac classroms and large green lawns.Overall it is a very good college. And I definitely recommend to every student who want to pursue Engineering.

When you see the fees for this college you will get amazed as it is very high. But it also provides that kind of quality education. It provides you with every facility that you expect as a student(atleast try to).The faculties are quite supportive.Being in 1st year I have no idea about placements but I think they are good. From my experience I will definitely recommend this college to anyone who want to pursue any engineering course. Also the crowd here is very good. This is the only good thing behind the high fees we are paying. As we get to go along with students from good background. So whosoever is reading this review pdpu is a very good college and if you get in here you will be very happy with it.

The infrastructure is good .The lecture hall are big with AC and Wifi facilities. The play ground is big enough.Library facilities are also available. Our college provide a website in which we can write our feedback about our faculties from this the HOD can get to know that how study is going on.There is an IIC department also there in our college which help to publish our research work. I think that being in this college is the most enjoyable thing i ever had.here we make new friends and of course a girlfriend. There are arrangement of special lecture for placement interview purpose in this they teach us how to behave and what kind of attitude we have to built in our self. I just expect some little bit more good in mess food, but all over the living facilities are nice. our collage covers almost all top branches in it so there are lot of students in it, but our collage campus is vast enough so the student should not find any difficulty here. Our college fees are higher then expected but it provide great opportunity for students.

Pdpu has got all the latest infra required for any international level university. Majority of the faculty has either done their btech or mtech from IIT, NIT or some other top notch university. Obviously the university is quite young(setup around 2009) hence placement is yet to achieve its peak, yet it has 70℅ placements (talking only about btech and excluding Petroleum branch). Hostel is awesome and food will be okay okay as always.....

The college provides a world class infrastructure. It has separate blocks for School of Petroleum Technology, School of Technology, School of Petroleum Management, School of Liberal Studies. It has a widespread green campus including the football and cricket ground. The college provides a comfortable class environment for students. During the first week of the program, the college provides an industrial visit to local industries to provide an on-field experience. It also includes an industrial visit program after completion of 2 years. College atmosphere is always vibrant with the events, sports activities and the packed food joints within the campus. The annual cultural festival, Flare draws a high attention from the students of the college as well as from different colleges. School of Technology still being a new institute, has made its presence felt in the corporate arena. The tie up with foreign universities as well as with local government bodies helps in finding placements for students. Student here are from various states of India, this helps to know different culture and their lifestyle. The atmosphere in the college promotes harmony and fun. With the pace the university is growing in no time it will find a place next to top IITs.

As to give an unbiased review, Pdpu is one the leading universities and checks in every criterion an engineering university should have. From faculties to exposure university is keen to give best to us. College life here is pretty open and acceptable. Each branch has its dedicated faculties and labs to gain better knowledge, internships are supported in order to get best results, Siemens lab helps students to a Gr8 extent. Regular workshops are held on the campus and even guest lectures put feathers to our cap.
