Hello Suchitra Shah. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
The answer to your question is unfortunately "no". Why?
That is because, SVNIT is one of the NITs, where you can get admission only through JEE Main. Also, if you qualify JEE Main, you will be eligible for institutes like IIITs and GFTIs. Some private institutes also use JEE Main score to provide admission.
On the other hand, if you qualify GUJCET, you will only be considered for admission at participating institutes of GUJCET.
Please see here for the cutoffs of SVNIT:
For more on GUJCET, I would like to direct your attention to this Careers360 article:
Hope this helps you and all the best!
Hello Dharmik Raval. Thanks for contacting Careers360 and we hope we will be able to answer your query.
First of all, we would like to clarify this: SVNIT, Surat has no B. Tech in Environmental engineering. It is a M. Tech discipline of study, for which you have to write the GATE exam for civil engineering.
Anyways, the JEE Mains cutoff for SVNIT, Surat has been written in an article by our experts at Careers360 here:
Even if you want the GATE cutoff, please see this Careers360 article:
Hope this helps you and all the best!
Hi,
For any NIT or IIIT, you need to have a minimum of 75% in your class 12 which means that you have to score 75% in your GSEB board. If you belong to Gujarat or are writing your class 12 there, for JEE Main, that will be considered your state of eligibility so you could also come under the top 20 percentile to apply under home quota. For that you need atleast marks as give below
GEn -367, OBC-344 SC-336 ST - 309, PwD-309
This is the Gujarat board Cutoff for top 20 percentile in 2017. I am giving this for an idea. It may vary slightly.
So if you have 75% or marks above the 20percentile listed above, you have a chance for admissions in SVNIT provided you qualify in JEE Main ofcourse.
