Building a Future with Robots at The University of Sheffield, Sheffield

Robots can resemble humans, but are not needed to, and are capable of adopting any appearance and performing any number of tasks. They can be programmed by humans or computers, but they can also have their own Artificial Intelligence software routines that allow them to take in and analyze information and make decisions as if they were living creatures. Some are even capable of learning on their own using machine learning. Building a Future with Robots certification course is developed by the University of Sheffield, will be taught by Sandor Veres, and is delivered by FutureLearn.

Building a Future with Robots online training comprises more than three weeks of comprehensive learning resources and unlimited access to the course for those who want to develop various understandings about how robots will affect many facets of human life in the future, and analyze present and future revelations in the discipline of robotics.  Building a Future with Robots online classes cover topics such as the impact of how robots sense their environment, how robotics is inspired by nature, and how robots will interact with people. Candidates will obtain an understanding of the fundamental challenges of robotic design and illustrate how research is being conducted to address these obstacles and more.
