In previous years, closing ranks for these branches under Home State quota

If your percentile is approximately 87 in JEE Main 2025 and your rank is about 1,87,000, then at VSSUT Burla you may receive branches such as Civil Engineering, Metallurgy, or Production Engineering, particularly in the subsequent rounds of counselling. This is possible if you are a candidate from
Hello,

Hii,
It is natural to be unsure when considering whether to drop or join VSSUT Burla. The ETC branch at VSSUT is an excellent opportunity because it is one of the finest government colleges in Odisha. Your parents are most likely encouraging you to take advantage of this opportunity because
Hii,
The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETC) branch of VSSUT Burla, Odisha, provides an excellent academic atmosphere. The faculty is experienced, and the labs are well-equipped, guaranteeing that students study effectively in their profession.
The campus features a tranquil ambiance that allows students to concentrate on their academics. The university
The college infrastructure is very decent, most of the land space of the college is still under utilised. The hostels take up the majority of the space of the college and the Academic Buildings are small in Comparison.
Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology has a spacious and green campus with decent infrastructure. Classrooms, labs, and the library are functional and support learning well. Hostels and basic facilities are satisfactory, though some areas could use modernization. Overall, it provides a comfortable environment for students
VSSUT is one of the oldest technical institutes in Odisha, and it shows—both in a charming, heritage way and a "this needs a renovation" way. The classrooms in the new academic block are decent, but the older ones can feel a bit dated. Labs are a mixed bag; while the Workshop and Production labs are quite spacious and equipped with some heavy-duty machinery (essential for our branch), some equipment is old and requires a lot of "jugaad" to work. The Central Library is a sanctuary—it’s well-stocked and air-conditioned, making it the best place to escape the Burla heat. WiFi is available but famously unpredictable; you’ll likely rely on your own mobile data for anything urgent. Hostels are where you truly "live." Cleanliness is average, and maintenance is often slow, but the massive campus and the view of the Hirakud Dam nearby make up for the lack of five-star luxury.
