VIT Vellore has been ranked 691 globally for 2026 with an overall score of 25.4.
The college has great facilities , there are good food options . The campus is WiFi enabled but the speed is very slow . Library is world class full centrally AC. Living spaces are very crowded . The hostel rooms are very packed . Food is not a problem bcos you get many options to eat . Labs are well equipped with latest facilities. Hostel bathrooms are common so have cleanliness issue. Laundry facilities are available . However overall it's a great college facilities here are amazing .
I AM STUDYING B.TECH COURSE HERE . THE FACULTIES ARE GREAT , BUT THEY AS IN EVERY COLLEGE THEY WONT SPOON FEED YOU . THERE HAS TO BE A CONSTANT AND SINCERE EFFORT FROM YOUR SIDE EXCEL IN YOUR BRANCH . THE HUGE CROWD IN VIT IS A BIG ISSUE , IT MAKES COMPETITION TOUGH AT EVERY PLACE , FROM FOOD TO ROOM TO PLACEMENT . YOU HAVE TO COMPETE WITH THOUSANDS OF OTHERS IN YOUR COLLEGE TO MAKE A MARK .
The placements are great for a private college. The placements are increasing year by year . The placements records are 100% . The average CTC iis8 lakh as of this year . The highest ctc offered was 75 lakh !!
They have category wise fees , the but overall the fees range from 1.5 lakh( for first category ) to 5 lakh for 5th category . The fee is pretty descent for the top 10k rangers of vit but eventually as the counselling proceeds the fee increases significantly . MY fee is around 4.5lakh per year .
Campus life at VIT is a bliss . The huge campus is itself a great place . It's open and pollution free campus , whereas the hostels are not that great . They could make better spacious hostels . And single rooms should be made available for everyone.
You get every facility here ( at a price ) . You just need to went out money blindly to get all those facilities . But the placement records are great . This makes the college a good choice for students . But I would surely prefer students to aim for tier 1 colleges rather than tier 2
Yes college does have an excellent infrastructure with an outstanding facilities which are highly required for the growth for the students and they also have updated equipments which are one of the most important need in the college. And the living space is clean and food provided is top notch.
I am currently studying Computer science and engineering (Core) and all the facilities are docterates which is excellent and the curriculum is well updated and they include all the recent developments and they teach us to make job ready
The quality of placement is very high as big companies like Microsoft, Google have come to give students job and placement ratio is also high and many students get super dream offers which offers them over 30 LPA.
Yes, VIT Vellore has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. VIT Vellore has well equipped labs with the latest technologies. The classrooms are huge with a maximum capacity of 65 students. The library is really huge with plethora of books & journals. There are outdoor & indoor sport facilities like swimming pool, badminton courts, etc. Most hostels are comfortable, neat & properly maintained. The food is hygienic, tasty & has variety.
I am studying IoT specialization of CSE branch because IoT is a very in-demand & interesting field in this decade. The quality of teaching in VIT is pretty good. Faculties ensure students learn their stuffs & the testing process is quite commendable. The curriculum is regularly updated as per the current needs, thereby including all the latest developments in the respective fields. Obviously you need to work quite a bit on yourself, other than the college stuffs, to make you job ready.
The quality of placements is really good, considering it is a private college. The exact percentage is not known, but a vast majority of them were placed in decent companies. This year the highest CTC was 75 LPA, offered by Microsoft to a CSE Core student. The placement process is smooth & very professional and meticulate. College is really strict and clear on the guidelines to be followed in the process.
My total academic fee was 12.12 lakhs precisely, as I was admitted in Category 2 with a Group B subject. I feel up to category 2 across both groups A & B is still worth the money. Above that it becomes too costly for a middle class family to afford , along with the accomodation expenses.
The college campus is quite vast and populous. The buildings are beautiful, huge and well built. There are a lot of chapters & clubs for students to get involved in. VIT is strict in cases of Public Display of Affection (PDA) between boys & girls. The students, staff and teachers are more or less really supportive & humble. There is no ragging culture prevalent. Campus location is pretty good & safe. There are a lot of food outlets outside the campus. Roaming in night after 9 pm isn't that safe.
VIT has a lot of opportunities if you can utilize them properly. Even though it is a private college, it has all the things that a student would require & aspire of. So the choice is yours after all. The college did turn out to be way above my expectations in regards to everything possibly.
College infrastructure is so good, it is like you are in a palace. There are canteen, mess, academic blocks, lake, parks, ground, all are build fantastic, you'll get a good experience in it. The college is very big.
The teachers are phd scholars and they teach very well. They have very innovative styles for teaching, all students can ask doubts and they are ready to clear it, they are really helpful, you'll get good education there.
Placement are really good in it, almost 95% placements have done, highest ctc 45lpa, amazon, Microsoft, google, ibm, tcs, wipro, accenture, dyte almost all the companies come and youll get good and more opportunities to prove yourself.
It is all value of money, if you put efforts you'll surely get good package and placements, hostel life and campus life is awesome, mess food is also good, this is surely a value for money offer, but for that you have to get a good rank in it.
Campus life is good but there are some restrictions which you've to follow, otherwise they'll fine you.
Overall college is very good.
The collage has better infrastructure including hostels , campus and sports area. The equipments are advanced and in sufficient amount as well . The digital classrooms are there with different laboratories and libraries on each floor. There is a large space for sports also . Living area is also very clean and food in the mess is also hygienic .
I am currently studying B.TECH in computer science and engineering because it gives a better scope of learning and enhance our skills as well . The quality of teaching is also very good with well qualified professors . In every semester , subject gets updated and revised .
As we know , VIT gives 100% placement to their students with better salary . This year 90% of students were placed on the First day with highest package of RS 70 LAKHS . It goes for the student of CSE in AI & ML . The average salary offered is of RS 7 LAKHS . The whole placement process was very easy for the students with good computer skills . The college was very supportive as well.
I have to pay RS 2 LAKHS per year for the course of B.TECH in CSE .
Yes, it has all the necessary facilities with well equipped equipment in the lab. The smart classroom are also available with separate hostel for boys and girls . The campus is well developed with WiFi and sports rooms .The living area is also clean and the food provided in the mess of better quality.
I am currently studying in Btech computer science Enigeering .Because i have interest in learning coding language and learning different coding language . It is very useful of developing our skill. Yes it is include that it is all the recent development in the field.
VIT assure 100% quality of placements at your college.75% students were placed at the highest salary package offered . Btech computer science with artifical intelegnce and machine learning . And average salary about 7 lakh and the highest salary offered was 70 lakh. The placement process was easy and the college was very supportive as well.
Nice infrastructure, all the facilities are good and eco friendly. The living spaces are clean and food hygienic. A hospitable and well maintained hostels, classroom and sport center and it has all the necessary facilities and equipment.
Has well exposure, the best in the quality of teachers. It makes you job ready the courses are made according to the job you want to purse in the future and it makes you a very capable in every situation.
The placement are very good. The college even holds the record of maximum number of placements among any other private institution in the country. Big companies including tech giants visit the campus every year and many student are placed in big companies.
Every year for my course, I usually pay 2 lakhs approximately with same amount of hostel fees as well. So, for the whole course of four years, its going to be 16 lakhs and its worthy as well because provides a better learning exposure to students and make them able to fight with them able to fight with the future competition as well. It makes students well aware about the placements and guide the students in a better way.
College infrastructure is great as it nearly have all the things that a student wants, fully functioning labs, wifi equipped campus and hostels, have gym facilities, swimming pool, and many modern amenities.
The facilities are so experienced and co-operative. They uses different teaching methods for more interactive classes creating a competitive environment. They help us to understand each and every topic and do different types of quizzes and activities in class.
As year passes, the placement of VIT shows rapid growth. Every year many students got their dream offers. Avg salary is nearly 6-8 lakh and the highest package offer to more than 1 students is nearly 44 lakh. Placement in CSE branch is especially great.
As VIT is private college, its fees is nearly equal as any other private college. If you can work hard, study hard them you will get that its totally worth your money.
VIT has good campus life, there are so many clubs, chapters that you can join, take parts in competitions, hackathon conducted by them, webinars from different successful people clearing doubts of students in their respective fields.
If you want to study and can work hard and smart then i will recommend you to choose VIT.
The college has a well developed and maintained infrastructure. The labs are fully equipped with instruments and relevant materials, you get a huge three tier library which is fully air conditioned and has more than 1 lacs of articles. The wifi can be called satisfactory but not excellent. The mess are good and separate for veg and non veg people also you get to choose between north and south indian food.
Most of the faculties are experienced and have good knowledge .You get a ffcs which allows you to select your subjects and teachers from the second semester onwards. Also the curriculum is updated each year with introduction to new topics and subjects.
The placements are excellent. For the core branches about 95 percent students get placed every year leaving the ones with backlogs and wish to continue further. The average package is around 7lpa for CSE and IT students while overall it is between 5.5-6lacs.
The college is costly and fee category is splited in five categories. While category 1&2 can be managed others can be proved to be worry for middle class people. However if you study well enough you can get a super dream offer of 10 lacs and above and get high return of investments.
The wardens and protors are supportive but college follows strict rules and regulations. There is a compulsory biometric attendence each night which can prove headache and tension if you miss it. No birthday parties, ragging, alcohol, smoking etc are allowed. You have a huge campus to roam through and admire its beauty.
You will surely enjoy your 4 year journey at the college. All the best for future.
The college infrastructure of VIT VELLORE is amazing. It has a vast 350+ acre of campus with many academic blocks, library, sports infrastructure, hostels and many more. It has some of the finest campuses in India.
VIT Vellore has an overall 15th rank in NIRF ranking in Engineering colleges in India. This fact itself tells the academic opportunities in this college. The syllabus across all courses of engineering are up to date and best for the student to compete at the best level. Also the research facilities and opportunities here are the best.
The placements here are very good. The college even holds the record for maximum no. of placements among any of the private institutions in the country. Big companies including tech gaints visit the campus every year and many students are placed in big companies.
The college is expensive when it comes to fees as compared to the government institutions like IITs, NITs etc. But it gives many opportunities and if the student is hard working and obedient towards its studies, then it'll definitely prove to be value for money.
The campus life is amazing here. With the huge campus area of 350+ acre, the students get to interact with students of all the parts of the country as well as many international students. The teachers and staff is very supportive and the location is also very safe.
Overall the college is best in its league of private institutions in India. And has a lot of opportunities to offer to the student, Thus student won't regret getting into this eminent institution. Thankyou
Hello,
With a JEE Main rank of 83,472, getting into VIT Mumbai in CAP Round 2 under the OMS (All India) category is not possible. In recent years, the cutoff for branches like Computer Engineering in CAP Round 2 was around 4,500 to 5,000. Since your rank is much lower, chances are almost negligible.
Hope it helps !
Hello Rahul,
Yes, if your VITEEE rank is at 18,000, you have a decent chance of getting a seat for EEE (Electrical and Electronics Engineering) at VIT-AP (Amaravati) campus when you attend the counselling, and take into consideration the overall cut-off ranks at VIT-AP for EEE are higher (i.e. easier with lower cut-off ranks) than at VIT Vellore or VIT Chennai, but realize it also depends on available seats and competition that year. You should register for entertainment purposes, and put down VIT-AP as one of your choices. Check here for more information: VIT AP cut-off 2025
Hello Aspirant,
Having a rank of 9973 in EAMCET under EWS means you can possibly get into Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) in VIT-AP; that will also depend on the cutoffs for this year based on from previous year's cutoffs. In previous years, candidates with ranks in the range of 10,000–12,000 have also gotten ECE, especially in the last rounds. The best way is to go through all the counselling rounds and keep some backup options. Check here for more information: AP EAPCET 2025 College Predictor
