Good infrastructure can be found over here, due to the fact that it has ample amount of space for making and grow infrastructure. There are plenty academic buildings are available but Most of the classrooms are non AC fitted with projectors. A range of 50-60 students can be fit in a single average classroom. Other than that many other services like Dhobi, shuttle, etc. are present for every student. Library has decent amount of books and Sports and other activiety places also actively present.
As a student of M.tech, I found the University offers good amount of space for students but sententiously they gave enough pressure to build. There will be enough DA, Project work and many other things are going on same time. You need to learn time management to survive in this FF-CS model studying.
One of the best placements are happens over here, that is why everyone has so emerged to get placid over here, Almost everyone who came here gets placed. The basic criteria of VIT placements is to get 60% marks in academic career overall
As a Category I student I spend almost 1.9L per year for academic year. Yes getting placements in VIT as well as spending this much is worth it.
Many Hostels are very good and many are just average. Campus life is good, a decent amount of activity will happens throughout the year. Boys and Girls Hostel are separated by a rail line and tunnels. Administration is good for students and academics and campus lifel
VIT Vellore is one of the leading universities in India and boasts of a world class infrastructure. The campus is spread over an area of 500 acres and is equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities that cater to the needs of its students, faculty and staff.
VIT Vellore is renowned for its quality of teaching and the university boasts of a team of mostly highly qualified and experienced faculty members. The faculty members are experienced in their respective fields and are dedicated to providing students with high quality education.
The placements of VIT Vellore are good. The university's strong industry connect, the efforts of the Career Development Center (CDC) and the training and mentorship programs provided to students, make it one of the best private institutions in India for securing employment opportunities.
The campus life at VIT Vellore is vibrant and active. The university's modern facilities, extracurricular activities, student-run clubs and societies, and events provide students with an opportunity to pursue their passions and develop new skills.
The college has all the necessary infrastructure required for creating an academically inclined environment, including smart projectors, air conditioned classrooms and WiFi. The living spaces are also hygienic and clean.
The academic calendar stays jam packed with two Continuous Assessment Tests (CATs) at a gap of 35 days each, as well as two quizzes and a few digital assignments (DAs). The semester ends with a Final Assessment Test (FAT).
The placements are getting better with each passing batch. A lot of companies do come here, belonging to various diverse industries and the packages are improving in quality. Almost every student gets placed from the college.
The college fees are divided according to the individuals performance in the entrance examination and has 7 different categories, with increasing fee structures. So, the first few categories are actually economical and comparable to the other premier institutions, but the other categories are a bit overpriced.
There are a lot of activities to partake in this college. Almost every week, some kind of celebration, event or competition happens and all the club's and chapters spread awareness about themselves from time to time as well.
Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipment. Proper classrooms are there for students laboratories with all necessary materials. A well maintained Library with good books.Yes my college have all the necessary infrastructure , facilities and equipment.
The curriculum is updated and it does include all the recent developments in the field. But in the present scenario of the digital world, not every stream can ensure a job Or high placements. But if anyone works hard in there field, then they can definitely secure a decent job in the core sector as well.
As every year, Vellore has recorded huge placements. Twelve students got over one crore package. The average package was 16 LPA. The placement process was as usual a bit tiring, with the common excitement and anxiety. The college officials were very supportive and helping. Above 90% students were placed in last year.
College Infrastructure The classrooms and labs are big enough, and have good educational facilities. Hostels are nice with lots of options, with one, two, three, four, six, and even eight bedded rooms, both AC and non-AC. We have laundry service and outdoor areas for sport activities, along with a utility store in every hostel block. The mess has a diverse menu, where you get three meals a day plus snacks. The campus is quite large, which means you'll have to walk a lot.
Academics People pursue all sorts of courses here, from B.Tech, to MBA and Humanities, due to which intake is quite high. But that also means more diversity and learning opportunities. The syllabus is challenging and teaches us important skills required for our future jobs. Faculties are well qualified, but some of them are quite strict. The coursework is on the heavier side, so good time management skills are required.
Placements If you have a good cgpa, you'll be placed with ease. But you need to work on your skills too. A lot of companies visit VIT, some of which are quite big, like Microsoft, but there are smaller ones as well, including new startups. Average package is around 8 lpa as per 2022, and multiple 20 lpa+ offers have been made, the highest being around 1 cr. One can try for off campus placements also.
Value for Money VIT has a high NIRF ranking, which means it is good in all aspects. Fees might be high, but it's value for money as VIT provides plenty of opportunities for everyone. You'll learn a lot, form strong connections, and remember this journey for the rest of your life.
Campus Life Gravitas and Riviera are the two fests conducted in VIT Vellore every single year, where you can enjoy all kinds of activities and even volunteer. There are a lot of sports activities as well, and other things like debating, art, dance, and music are also promoted with the help of clubs and chapters. There are competitions held every other day, so you can also win many prizes. A lot of rules are to be followed in VIT, due to discipline reasons, so parents don't have to worry at all.
Pretty good experience..... Getting to learn a lot with multiple hurdles but with a lot of joy and activities. Thank you
Yes it has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipments. Everything is well maintained and is there like classrooms, labs, sports centres, wifi. Hostels are also good enough and the food mess are very good.
I am studying electronics and communication engineering cause i have more interest in hardware side and the teaching quality is really good. The curriculum is updated every few years and there are so many things to make people job ready.
Placements have always been excellent in general but in my department core placements are generally less cause of less core companies but the avg package are like 8-9 lpa. You can get placement easily.
I think VIT is worth every penny cause there are just so many opportunities u can get and u can explore a lot. Clubs and chapters are very helpful in gaining technical skills and ffcs makes your timetable very flexible.
Campus is very clean and green and well maintained. There is library, basketball courts, volleyball courts and foodys. The campus is very safe and it can handle emergencies really well there is one chettinad hospital inside campus.
College Infrastructure The college infrastructure is very good. All academic blocks are well-maintained, with spacious classrooms and adequate facilities for a good educational experience. The hostel blocks are also decent for living. The mess maintains hygiene and we get some variety in our food choices. We have a massive library that has lots of academic books and journals, along with novels and magazines. We also have several grounds and gyms, a swimming pool, and an indoor sports building.
VIT Vellore follows a rigorous cirriculum with multiple quizzes and exams, which can sometimes make it difficult to handle. It is up to date, and teaches us practical skills as well. We can choose our own faculty and create our own timetable, and most faculties are good at teaching. You also get a lot of research opportunities.
Placements I haven't experienced placements as I'm just in Second Year. But as per the data, and seniors I know personally, the placements are quite amazing. VIT has a job for every student, based on how talented they are. The average package is around 8 lpa, and the highest was 1 cr+ in 2022, despite COVID-19. Besides placements, you can also prepare for competetive exams or study abroad, as VIT has good brand value. Value-for-money VIT follows a category system based on VITEEE rank, so fees
Campus life is decent. You can pursue a lot of things in college, from Dance, to Robotics and Film-making. We have a lot of clubs which give you the chance to showcase your talent, and learn new things. We have multiple events throughout the year, which include webinars as well as cultural events. Gravitas and Riviera are our national-level fests. Our campus location is also decent. Vellore has lots of things to explore.
VIT has pretty good labs, way better than most engineering universities. The classrooms and well maintained and there is a central library which gets very crowded and noisy before exams. The campus is beautiful and pretty but overcrowded.
Cirriculum is decent enough. We have to take all sorts of courses. We also get to make our own time table and choose our professors. The faculty you have heavily affects your learning and grades here.
They claim to have 100% placements. All sort of packages are offered here. There are 3 categories of offers: Normal Offers (<10L), Dream offers (<20L) and Super Dream offers (>20L). Highest package here goes pretty high.
Being a private college, it is pretty expensive.
Campus life is full of restrictions but you get used to it and learn your own ways to have fun. Language can become a barrier if you don't understand Tamil or Telugu. Vellore is not a safe place, but most of the strict rules placed inside campus ensure our safety, especially for girls.
VIT Vellore has amazing infrastructure. There are various academic buildings which provide lots of facilities for students to excel in all domains. We have sufficiently large classrooms and laboratories with the latest equipment. We have a world class library that hosts a plethora of academic books and journals for reference, and even for borrowing. The sport centres provide an opportunity to perform well at all sports like badminton, basketball, and even powerlifting. Hostels are decent too.
I'm studying Computer Science and Engineering, as I'm interested in Software Development. The teaching is good, depending on the faculty. The curriculum is up to date as well, and professors sometimes provide us an opportunity to write research papers and do internships. We are taught a lot of subjects in our course, which are relevant for the industry and equip us with the necessary skills.
Placements are good as far as I've heard. Almost everyone gets placed, and the highest salary was 1 cr+ PA offered to 2 people. It of course went to computer science graduates. But someone from Mechanical branch also got around 50 LPA. The average salary is around 6 LPA, but a lot of people bag 10 LPA+ offers. I'm yet to experience placement myself as I'm still a Sophomore student.
It costs around 4 L per year (Including hostel and mess). The fee depends on what category you were allotted based on VITEEE rank. You will get your money's worth if you work hard and grab a good placement offer. If not, the ROI won't be as good.
Campus has good facilities in all aspects, but you're supposed to follow a lot of rules here. It's a discipline oriented environment. Students from all walks of life come here, so there's a lot of diversity. Teachers are decent, and a lot of them are helpful. But you might find some teachers who are not as understanding. Same goes for the support staff. It is located in Vellore which is a small town with some tourist sports and shopping complexes and a railway. CMC hospital is nearby.
college is huge so you will have all the facilities and the architecture is beautiful especially the b.arch building , classrooms are non ac with projectors {some are ac rooms} decent size to seat 60-70 students, coming to hostels, again given the amount of students it's difficult job to maintain it, apart from 10 floor blocks rest all are very clean, due to the huge amount of students in the 10 floor blocks they aren't that much clean and maintained
quality of teaching depends teacher to teacher, just like in every institute, lucklily i've come across some really great faculties in VIT during my last three sems, to be honest some subjects are not required to be taught to a CSE student and won't help you in general unless you're aiming for that field
CSE placements have been good, 7,000+ offers and highest placement was 75LPA this year with around 81 students getting an offer of 25LPA or more with 8.19L being the average salary offered, top companies were microsof, deshaw, amazon, paypal
i'm in category 5 so it costs around 5L a year for tuition, had i been in some lesser fee category i would've said 100% but still its a place where i can get the platform to do things i'm intrested in and showcase my talent
it's fine, there are restrictions and the in-time is early but college does host activities like we have monday music time to time sometimes there are dance performance in the common ground, vellore is a nice small place and you'll find almost everything here with some major brands showrooms nearby
