Ambalika Institute of Professional Studies, Lucknow (AIPS), admission to AIPS is based on the merit list prepared after conducting the state-level entrance examination for the technical programs. All courses at AIPS are recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). Hence, admission to the diploma courses is conducted through a structured admission procedure.

Application Process

The application procedure for admission to Ambalika Institute of Professional Studies, Lucknow, is as follows:

1. JEECUP Application: Candidates should apply for Uttar Pradesh Joint Entrance Examination Polytechnic (JEECUP) first through its official JEECUP website.

2. Entrance Examination: All candidates need to attempt the JEECUP entrance exam on the date prescribed. This exam assesses the knowledge of the candidate in subjects relevant to the diploma programs.

3. Result Declaration: Post examination, the candidates should await the announcement of results of JEECUP.

4. Counselling Process: The qualified candidates shall participate in the JEECUP counselling. In this stage, candidates would select their preferred institutes and courses according to their rank and seat availability.

5. Document Verification: The candidates in the merit list have to come to AIPS for document verification. The documents usually required include:

   • Rank card of JEECUP

   • Mark sheets and certificates of Class 10th and 12th

   • Category certificate (if applicable)

   • Domicile certificate

   • Recent colored passport-size photographs.

6. Fee Payment: After completion of document verification, the candidates are to pay the admission fee to confirm their seat at AIPS.

7. Final Admission: After the completion of all these formalities, the candidates are given final admission into the diploma of their choice at Ambalika Institute of Professional Studies.

Degree-wise Admission Process

Diploma in Electrical Engineering:
Diploma in Electrical Engineering at the AIPS level has an approved intake of 60. The admission process for this was the State-level Joint Entrance Examination (JEECUP). It is a three-year course, with a total fee of Rs.90000.

Diploma in Computer Engineering:
The Diploma in Computer Engineering at AIPS has an approved intake of 60 students. Admission to this program is consequently through the State-level Joint Entrance Examination. Like the Diploma in Electrical Engineering, the Computer Engineering Diploma is also for a period of three years and the fees for the course are Rs. 90000.

Diploma in Automobile Engineering:
Diploma in Automobile Engineering is offered at AIPS with an approved intake of 30 students. Admission procedure is similar to the other diploma courses, where a candidate appearing for the State-level Joint Entrance Examination obtains admission. The duration of the course is three years and the total fees is Rs. 90,000.
