My College provides most of the essential infrastructure, facilities, and equipment required for a productive academic environment, but there is still room for improvement. The campus has well-maintained classrooms equipped with basic teaching aids such as projectors and whiteboards, which support effective learning. The library is reasonably stocked with textbooks, reference materials, and digital resources, allowing students to access information for their academic needs. In terms of practical learning, laboratories are available for different departments, and they are equipped with standard instruments. However, in some cases, the equipment is either outdated or insufficient in quantity, which can limit hands-on experience for students. The college also offers computer labs with internet access, though the speed and maintenance of systems could be improved to meet current technological demands.. Facilities like clean drinking water, sanitation, and a canteen are available, ensuring basic comfort for students. Sports and extracurricular infrastructure exists but are not fully developed. Overall, while the college meets the fundamental requirements for education, upgrading equipment, improving maintenance, and investing in modern facilities would significantly enhance the quality of learning and student experience.
I am currently pursuing my graduation, focusing on subjects that build both theoretical understanding and practical skills. I chose this field because it offers career flexibility and helps develop problem-solving, analytical thinking, and communication abilities—skills that are valuable in almost any profession. Rather than blindly following trends, I evaluated what aligns with long-term growth and adaptability, which is why this course made sense and program. The quality of teaching is decent but not flawless. Some faculty members are knowledgeable and genuinely committed, using clear explanations and real-life examples. However, others rely heavily on outdated methods like rote learning, which limits deeper understanding. The infrastructure supports basic learning, but true progress depends more on self-effort than classroom teaching alone. If you depend only on lectures, you’ll fall behind. The real advantage comes when you actively question, explore beyond the syllabus, and use external resources to strengthen to understand easily
The placement quality at my college is average—not something you can rely on blindly. A few companies do visit the campus every year, but the opportunities are not evenly distributed across all branches or students. Most of the roles offered are entry-level, with moderate salary packages, and only a small percentage of students manage to secure higher-paying or core-field jobs. Roughly 50–60% of students get placed through campus drives. But that number can be misleading if you don’t question it properly and it often includes students placed in low-paying roles or jobs unrelated to their field of study. The remaining students either pursue higher education, prepare for competitive exams, or look for off-campus opportunities—which, frankly, tend to offer better growth if approached strategically. The real takeaway is this: placements are not a guarantee; they are just an opportunity. If you depend only on the college system, you limit your chances. Students who actively build skills, do internships, and apply off-campus usually perform better than those who wait for campus placements to “save” then.
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma (ARSD) College a constituent college of the University of Delhi, boasts one of the more well maintained campuses on the South Campus circuit. the overall college campus is large — amon the biggest in DU — with well-kept green spaces, sports grounds, gardens, and dedicated boys' and girls' common rooms. The physical environment is clean, aesthetic, and generally pleasant for day-to-day student life Departmental spaces, particularly in science and commerce, are equipped with smart boards, campus-wide Wi-Fi, and computer labs. The library spans two floors, is stocked with course books and academic references, and provides a quiet study environment that students especially value when preparing for competitive exams like UPSC, CAT, or NET. Science departments have functional, well-equipped laboratories that give students adequate hands-on exposure. However, the infrastructure has its limitations. The college does not have a hostel or a full-fledged auditorium, and only one or two classrooms qualify as fully "smart." The absence of air conditioning is a frequently raised concern, particularly during Delhi's intense summers. Students without on-campus accommodation typically reside in PG accommodations in nearby Satya Niketan, roughly 200 metres away. The canteen is well-regarded for hygienic, affordable food. Overall, while ARSD's infrastructure may not rival the grandeur of some North Campus colleges, it is well-maintained and comfortably meets the essential academic and extracurricular needs of its students.
ARSD College holds a NAAC A++accreditation and was ranked 7th among all colleges in India and 5th among Delhi University colleges in the NIRF All India Rankings 2024. It was also ranked 7th among Commerce colleges, 8th among Arts colleges, and 12th among Science colleges across the country — a testament to its broad academic strength across streams. The college offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce, making it one of the few truly comprehensive co-educational colleges under DU. The faculty is widely regarded as knowledgeable, approachable, and genuinely invested in student growth. Teaching is largely concept-focused and interactive, with professors regularly engaging students beyond the textbook. The college also organises seminars, workshops, guest lectures, and conferences, giving students exposure to ideas and professionals outside the classroom. Students pursuing BSc programmes benefit from nine specialisations inclding Computer Science, Mathematics, Chemistry, and Electronics, while Commerce students can pursue BCom (Hons) and MCom with strong departmental support.
the Placement Cell at ARSD College is active and well-organised, working consistently to bridge the gap between students and employers through recruitment drives, internship opportunities, and mock interview sessions. The cell hosts over 50 companies during placement drives each year, including prominet names from consulting finance, and technology sectors. Top recruiters include Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC, BDO Rise, Genpact, Wipro, HCL, Dell, Bajaj Capital, and Coing Ninjas, among others. As per the NIRF 2025 report, the median salary package for UG graduates stands at approximately 6 LPA. The average package generally ranges between 5 to 9 LPA depending on the course, while the highest package recorded has gone up to 22.5 LPA for Commerce students. For Mathematics students, the highest package is around 10 to 12 LPA, with an average of 6 LPA. Around 40 to 60 percent of students secure campus placements each year, with a significant portion of the remaining students opting for higher studies or competitive exam pathways
College has very good infrastructure. It has all the facilities that are required and we'll maintained and equipped. Clean washrooms , functional canteen and well updated library. Overall environment of the college is hygienic.
I studied Economics Hons. Quality of teaching is up to the mark. Faculty is very helpful and approachable. Teachers are ready to help students beyond classrooms. The curriculum is well structured and updated. Overall experience was enriching.
The Placement opportunities at the college are quite good. Various good companies visit campus and offer good roles. On average almost every student who sits and placement gets placed on decent package according to industry standards. College and Placement Cell coordinates and supports well to students and organise this whole process very smoothly.
The course fee was quite affordable and reasonable. It costed somewhat around 12-15k per year. Considering overall learning experience I feel college provides good value for money. It has affordable yet decent environment.
The campus life is very engaging and provides various opportunities to students to participate and various extra co-curricular activities. College has multiple societies like for dancing, sports, debate, drama etc. Many various events keep on happening time to time providing vibrant environment to students.
The college infrastructure is good and meets most of the necessary requirements for students. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with basic facilities like projectors or smart boards, which help in better learning. The campus also has Wi-Fi access in many areas and decent sports facilities for students. Overall, the buildings and common areas are well maintained. The living spaces are generally clean, and the food available on campus or in the hostel is hygienic and satisfactory for students.
The academics at the college are satisfactory and provide a decent learning experience. I am studying my course because it aligns with my career goals, and the teaching quality is generally good, with most faculty members being supportive and knowledgeable. They explain concepts clearly and encourage students to participate in classes and practical work. The curriculum is fairly updated and covers important topics related to the field, which helps in building basic knowledge and skills. Overall, the academic environment is positive and helps students prepare for future job opportunities, though students may also need to put in their own effort to become fully job-ready.
The placement opportunities at the college are decent, with several companies visiting the campus each year for recruitment. The experience in my college is quite good..i have enjoyed my stay in this college a lot. Friendly environment, better infrastructure, regular cultural activities, sports activities, events and fest had make my life very good and enjoyable throughout my college. Indeed a good experience as a student of this college
The college infrastructure is satisfactory, with equipped classrooms and labs. The library offers relevant resources, though seating capacity is limited. Overall, facilities support academic needs adequately.
I've had a great academic experience at this college! The faculty is knowledgeable and approachable, with a strong emphasis on practical learning. Course curriculum is relevant and industry-aligned, with opportunities for skill development.
Placement support is commendable with good industry connections, adequate training, and fair recruitment opportunities. Most students secure relevant placements, reflecting effective career guidance and support.
The college offers good value for money, with reasonable fees and quality education. Facilities and resources justify the cost, making it a worthwhile investment for students seeking growth.
The college offers an excellent campus life with vibrant student activities, supportive environment, and modern facilities. A perfect blend of academics and extracurricular growth.
ARSD, compared to other colleges, is small. It has sports grounds, gardens, girls and boys common room, classrooms and laboratories, library and wi-fi. But it does not have hostels, auditorium and big laboratories. There are 1-2 smart classrooms. The facilities we do have are well-maintained and well-used by students.
I am studying political science and it has been pretty good so far. The professors are good and are very knowledgable in their field. Most of them take regular classes and teach to their best. However, the college has limited options in SEC and VAC and limited staff for it.
I don't have much knowledge on this but I think ARSD's placement record is quite good. We do have an active placement cell which conducts career fest and alumni meet every year. There are many people in the placement cell.
It cost 17000 previous year and 19000 this year. Yes, I do feel I am getting most of my money's worth here. I like that my professors are regular. I do feel 6 months for subject are not enough to know it.
ARSD has a canteen, which is okayish, a nescafe, which I think has good sanwiches but others feel is overpriced and a mother dairy which is good. The college has a lot of societies and each department has an association. None of the societies have their own room. Instead of auditorium, it has 2 seminar halls, which have space but still limited. There is not much interaction between students and professors and between students themselves in my department. ARSD is located near bus stops and metro. Railway station isn't too far and there is airport line too.
It's been 3rd year since I have been living in this college. Infrastructure facilities and equipment aren't much good here. As of I work in physics and computer lab j find equipments so hard to work here. Rooms in delhi university aren not much good here. Old school vibes struck here. Hostel are not avaliable here. Libraries is good but sitting space is not much there. Loving space is good. Class rooms are spaced enough.
Academics is good here. I m glad to have good professors here who are well experienced. Teachers lab assistants are good here working well for our good academics. So I enjoy working here. And cs department is best here.
Placements is not good here. Mostly less package is offered here. So I don't prefer here. So I won't prefer here for placements. It mostly offers for bcom students and not for BA BSC students. So I won't prefer
The infrastructure in arsd is brilliant , we have all the facilities and residents also we do have necessary equipments. The college and canteen area is hygienic but there is no theatre in the college
The teaching in the college is pretty good. All the teachers are supportive and currently i’m pursuing BA and the college is following Recent Guidelines and following NEP The quality of teaching is good
I don’t have much knowledge about placement ratio but i think previous year it was around 20-30% which i think is pretty good and the median package was around 6 LPA last year Also the college have got offers from big companies
Yes my college have all the facilities required and it is hygiene and there are enough space to accommodate all the students. It is not conjusted but there is no theatre in arsd also there is no proper cricket ground
I'm currently pursuing B.sc ( Physical science with CS) and I think teachers are supportive as they try to help us in anyway possible Also my course is up to date and it is using recent data . The quality of teaching is excellent
In 2023-2024 placement ratio was around 29% with packages ranging from 6 LPA for UG and 8 LPA for PG which I think is pretty good as many strong companies have reached to this college with packages around 21 LPA
The college fee on annual basis is around 20 k which I personally think is affordable for anyone as it is around 1600 on monthly basis and I think it is not so much even for a middle or lower class It is affordable
My campus life is pretty good as there are many activities in which the college is engaged in and I think a person can develop itself by engaging in these activities also the environment of the college is more friendly as teachers and seniors are quite supportive
The college had a really nice commerce department and there was a lot of greenery in the whole campus. The library is also equipped with d computer lab along with good and fast Wi-Fi. The canteen is also good. Nestle is a personal favourite.
The studies are good. Teachers prepare the course material in advance so that the students don’t face any problems. As it is a DU college, classes do get cancelled at very short notice sometimes, but overall the academics are good.
The placements of the college are good. There is also an internship and placement fair to help students I’m connecting with companies. Big 4 companies also come to the campus to hire commerce students.
Hello,
If you have been selected for another university but have backlogs at ARSD College, Delhi University, check with both universities about the transfer process and academic implications. It's essential to resolve any backlogs at Delhi University before leaving.
Hope this helps you,
Thank you
