The College of Defence Management (CDM), Secunderabad as a distinguished centre for defence leadership training. This is a co-ed institution recognized by NAAC, providing management education to defence personnel. Located in Secunderabad, the college is in the Sainikpuri area of Telangana. Admission to the CDM solely pertains to Defence professionals who intend to climb the ladder of management education higher. Veterans are selected on account of the length of service in the different departments of defence-force and on departmental need basis.

The institute also runs a Master of Management Studies (MMS), a full-time course for 2 years, primarily meant to impart updated management knowledge to young defence professionals relevant to the scenario taught at CDM. Degree wise Admission Process

MMS (Master of Management Studies): MMS is the primary program concerning CDM. It runs for two years, full-time, catering solely to defence personnel. Selection for the MMS program is perhaps by nomination from respective defence services, based on performance record, leadership potential and the strategic priority of the defence force.

Typically, eligibility criteria include:

1. The candidates must be defence personnel in active service.
2. Nominees are nominated by their respective streams in service.
3. A bachelor degree in any discipline from a recognized university is probably required.
