Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Civil Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and offered by the APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.
A Candidate Passed in Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Examination Kerala or an examination recognized equivalent thereto with at least 50% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry / Equivalent subjects put together or equivalent grade.
The Admission process is as per AICTE, APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, and Kerala Government rules. The following is the admission procedure for the academic year 2020 - 2021. 50% of the total students in B.Tech courses are set apart for centralized allotment by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations. In the remaining 50% of the management seats, 15% of seats under the NRI quota are given to children and dependents of NRIs on the basis of marks obtained for physics, chemistry, and mathematics in the 12th standard. The remaining 35% of seats are given on the basis of merit by ranking applicants on the basis of marks obtained for P C M in the 12th standard and for the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination.
