Faculties are very strict if you don't score well, there was no 1st day programme for the freshers, we actually saw our principal after 1 month, the teaching is awesome, they give assignments through which you can score 20+ in your internals, they give extra coaching after class hours for those who have scored below average in their internals and try to make them score well in the externals, college is meant for decency and there is no permission for hangouts but still the students don't care, mess food is horrible but nescafe fetches very tasty food

The college is best in terms of its education. The college has world class experienced faculty (with some exceptions) who will always be their to support and help you in whichever way possible. The college has great Laboratory for all branches. Practical exposure is its best point. Research and Project wise knowledge is its primary motto. Peaceful Location. Adequate sports infrastructure. And Average placement opportunity(same as other private universities.

The college has a great blend of education and fun. Education Quality is the best provided by experienced IIT Graduated professors. The course curriculum is world class (quite similar to BITS Pilani). Mandatory Internship pattern helps get industry exposure. The infrastructure is good with adequate sports and recreational facility. Laboratories are well maintained. The college has a green campus. Placement is average especially for mechanical. Only good news about placement is that it provides placement in core companies, unlike other private colleges.

The college is located away from the main city. It's infrastructure is average. Sports Infrastructure is good, well maintained and equipped. It has excellent faculty members (mostly IIT Graduated). College Life is fun with seminars, guest lectures, fest and other sports and cultural activities conducted on a regular basis. Focus on practical knowledge rather than theoretical. Placement is average just to give a start.

The first thing that disappoints is college infrastructure. Its very bad. Old building with cracks in the wall ,fans don't work properly ,pigeons and monkeys are there always ,a.c.'s are only for show Classrooms are either small or damaged. Placement is good only for some branches. For EEE ,it's not much good. One needs to struggle a lot to get placement. Very less support from college for managing training , placements and internships. Sports are not encouraged at all in the college. Canteen is OK. Hostel also has an old building. Small rooms are there. They are not at all happening. Mess food is nice. Faculty is not very nice. They don't teach out of the books. Library is good. College fest is the best. Many stars come every year . Lots of activities take place in fest. College crowd is very good. Seniors are very supportive. You get chances to compete ,learn and explore here if you want to.

Life Journey

There are 14 departments in CET Bhubaneswar varying from electrical engineering to textile engineering. The kind of diverse peer group you will get will definitely help you in making the 4 years enjoyable and you will learn something too. You will meet some of the highly talented guys who scored in single and double digit ranks in entrance examination. Quality of faculty is very subjective, you might enjoy a Professors class which others don't or the other way round. We had a lot of temporary faculties when I was studying. I hope that it is no longer the same. Also if you are desperate to learn something new, there is no stopping you. Regarding placements, almost 70% of the students are placed in the salary range of 4–5 LPA. But for good offers (Good Profile + Package) like those of Tata Steel (CSE & IT) or Maruti Suzuki (Core) etc you need to be in the top 10–20% of the class. Grades do matter. Infrastructure was definitely not the USP of CET back then. As Suman has already mentioned, a college of such stature and we didn't have a proper auditorium. A new academic block for some of the departments (Architecture, CSE, IT etc) was completed in 2012. The new block is definitely good. During early 2013 construction of many (around 10 I guess) new buildings was started. I am not sure if they are operational now. Maybe someone from the later batches can shed light on the current infrastructure. CET as a Brand is well known is Odisha. But outside Odisha it is not that well known. If you want to pursue higher education, brand will definitely help. It enjoys a wide alumni base as it was started in 1981. From getting into the Civil Services with a high rank to getting featured in the Forbes 30 under 30 alumni have repeatedly made CET proud. Juniors are doing some really nice work in college. Multiple new clubs have started, more students are going for internships (its not mandatory. we don’t get credits for it). E-Cell is also doing a commendable job and many students now have their own start-ups. A major disadvantage is that it is still under BPUT. So we don't enjoy the flexibility of designing our curriculum and academic calendar. This creates a problem during summer internships. Once it gets university status things will improve. In spite of the shortcomings, I would definitely recommend CET over the other colleges belonging to the same tier because of the Talent pool it attracts. The students are the strength of CET.

Good college with worst administration

College life is good over, good faculty, good infrastructure but the worst administration you can every find. The chairman built the college only for making money, he is least worried about the students. You can never get any type of help from the administration part.

Infrastructure is new and up to the mark. Placement should be focused upon and college canteen area. No strict rules and no hectic schedule. Everything related to being improved right from pre-placement preparation to bringing companies to the college. Hostel facilities are great. Need to bring more experienced staff. Everything is great and affordable in and around campus.

Spread across 100 acres of lush green land, our college is amicably placed in the city. Not too far, still away from the disturbances of the city. Faculty are really good in core branches. Placements are decent enough, but students have to put in the efforts themselves. Infrastructure is really less as of now, buildings are being made. To be honest infrastructure wise our college is improving rapidly. We have a decent Student Activity Centre which consists of a fast food joint, three snack shops and a stationary shop apart from two canteens. I keep finding great people to be inspired from and work on projects with. Our alumni is in constant support for us. There are several clubs for Technical, Management and Not-technical skills as Dance, Singing and Drama.

CEB is having the best faculty members in its IT department. IT dept is having 4 highly facilitated Labs in it. You will also get the opportunities to showcase your skills in your field of interest. The campus is huge as compared to others similar colleges and boasts the accommodation facilities for all the students studying. The campus placement facilities is also great.
