Hey I am shivangi I am from first year philosophy hons department, it's only been one month of mine in daulat ram college but i have learnt so many things academically, morally and life lesson , cooperation among students too. I am from a small town where only private colleges exist that only just for degree of name , no education so it's a great opportunity for me my career to get in such beautiful and academically top class college of our nation. On my first day I was worried how it will work out but ya faculty support, friendly classmates even hardworking create such a lovely environment I like it. The college infrastructure is also beautiful there is much space for our students to sit with our friends, classmates anywhere to discuss class topics , etc. Greenery is plus point ????plus it have wifi , even I see projector in classes so that students can give presentation, even books and study material in library is in ample amount and in good condition. Overall a dreamy experience shaping my future. Only one thing I feel is missing is air conditioner in our philosophy department class otherwise all is perfect. Thankyou!
Academically it is best as it has best faculty supportive , investing as much they can so that they can help building our career , no matter how many doubts we have they solve. Philosophy is a subject which is new to mostly students in our department as intermediate school don't support philosophy as a subject at that level so we were not familiar with Philosophy but our department teacher on the day of orientation said that they will make us fall in love with philosophy so ya we are falling in love with philosophy.
I am unaware of this . I am so sorry but as much i know is that like every college has placement cell similarly our college has so ya is also support placements.Students of Philosophy (Hons) develop strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, ethics, and communication skills during their course. The Placement Cell channels these abilities into practical career options such as: Corporate Sector: HR, consulting, and management roles. Media & Communication: Content writing, journalism, editing. Public Policy & Social Sector: NGOs, think tanks, policy research. Civil Services & Higher Studies: Guidance for UPSC, NET, or international scholarships.
It's definitely worth it as it supports not only accademically but also in which field u want to go sports , arts no matter what as college is the place where unlike your school u have relatively more freedom to explore new things even yourself.
It's lovely, charming as girls college also so we fill with beauty support smiles hopes aspirations and make our college our home .
Societies are really active especially the Indian music society! Everything is good.. infrastructure is average neither good nor bad!College environment is good and professors are good too! Overall good experience
Professors are very good and not at all judgemental! They are really frank and highly educated with good level of knowledge especially philosophy department ! Library facilities and overall academics is really good
As it's my first year ..I don't know much about placements but the placement cell is really active and alumni are good and mostly in administrative services or government jobs! Overall it's highly active
Overall experience is very good... good environment, good professors..crowd is very good here
Its an reputed College obviously i feel very happy to be in this College , all teachers and staffs are kind , College canteen is really nice and its one of the best canteen in du, i really liked the college and all the people’s here they are always supportive in nature and its really safe . All the facilities are available here , canteen foods are fresh and hygiene with budget.
I am currently studying philosophy hons, as there are not many people who are studying philosophy, all philosophy teachers are teaching at their best . I think yes , as i said there are not that many students who are studying philosophy and for that reason somehow i think my competition are less !
Yes , drc is much supportive in nature the people here is always the kind one ! And i didn’t know that much of these cause i am currently in the 1st year ! The placement process is easy for me somehow!
32,000 is the fees for per year they charge and i feel that’s reasonable and worthy
Best
Infrastructure is bit normal nothing is fascinating . Some of the work is still in progress. But the Greens in the college gives a nice energy and very sport to clear out the mind. The garden area is the the
The teacher are very friendly and easy going. They all are experienced . We do have many activities apart from academics also. The teachers do interact even without the classes. The reading material a
My course doesn't specify any placements . But the other commerce profession does have placement. The placement cell is working yet I personally haven't heard about it from the students. The placement
A highlight of Daulat Ram College is its well-stocked, automated library that houses a vast collection of books, journals, and e-resources. The library also offers digital access and a peaceful reading environment. Additionally, the college features a fully air-conditioned auditorium, which hosts seminars, cultural events, and academic programs throughout the year.
It provides undergraduate and postgraduate programs in Arts, Science, and Commerce streams. The college is known for its qualified faculty, research-driven approach, and focus on academic excellence. Departments such as English, Political Science, Psychology, and Chemistry are particularly reputed. The curriculum is regularly updated, aligning with contemporary developments and University guidelines.

Daulat Ram College fares in terms of value for money, based on placement outcomes, fee structures, and student experiences. As a government it's is value for money. Facilities it provides such a library and labs are pretty nice.
Its vibrant atmosphere is fueled by cultural festivals like Manjari, an impressive array of extracurricular societies, and inclusive student engagement through clubs, NSS, occasional stalls, and student governance .
To be very honest fee is too high comparative to other colleges ???? And I don't why there is no ac and it's not that big campus ???? I was like bro du milgya north campus but this college sucks yaar honestly There is no ac and canteen food is getting worse idk. Why
Daulat Ram College is a well-regarded institution empowering women through a balanced mix of academics, extracurricular vibrancy, and supportive faculty. It shines especially for commerce and economics students looking for good placements and exposure. Science and arts students benefit from strong academic culture and opportunities for advanced studies, though placement-driven prospects might be fewer.
I don't have any idea about that because I'm in second year and I'm still figuring out everything about stuff going on in college soooooooo I don'ttttttttt knowwwwwwwwwwwwww But I ammmm notttttt suggesting this clg
No it's not yaar fee is too high according other colleges and if there is a student like me below middle class then it'll definitely going to hurt you paying this much for such facilities So I would say choose some other colleges in du
If you’re looking for a nurturing environment in North Campus, with fair value for money and a decent academic community—not necessarily chasing the absolute highest ranking—DRC is a solid and viable choice.
you’re looking for a nurturing environment in North Campus, with fair value for money and a decent a... Bruh don't trust my good review it's from chatgpt so rest of it is dil se ???? So choose wisely
I having a good time studying having fun , living a good student life , we Have smart class , Ac's in class (some of them) , however need to work more on the infrastructure, we have great teachers , but
Great teachers , lectures are smooth going interaction with teachers is good and fun loving like the teachers , they are quite supportive help us a lot with are assignment and all , and try to solve ever
Specifically I don't know I about the placements which our college gives nor I have listened about them I think our college placement isn't that good or I think we don't have placements in our college
The overall college environment is peaceful, but the lack of proper infrastructure and facilities makes it difficult for students of many departments. Medical room facility is good but there is a requirement of hiring more medical staff. Sports area is good, so is the library. Toilets are mostly clean and well maintained. Classrooms, however are constantly dirty and littering can often be seen in classrooms and canteen area. There is lack of fans in the classrooms as well as the canteen. Management is very messy and class timings and rooms often clash with one another.
Academics wise, (most of the) faculty is great, but due to lack of proper management classes often clash. in my 1 year in college, i have noticed there has been lack of proper communication flow channel from management to student and teacher to student, especially for the BA Program Department. This has left students hanging in confusion and a lot of important matters, have been micromanaged. Attendance criteria is unnecessarily strict for the kind of academic facilities given. SurabhiC356
I am yet to explore internships/placements as I am currently in my 2nd year. hence I do not have much info about the same. However from what I have heard from seniors, the placement scene is decent for certain departments.
Fees are extremely high as compared to the other colleges under the University. And for this amount of fees paid, the kind of academic and non academic facilities given are not at all worth the money. It has often led students to question if their degree is a complete waste of money. other colleges with a better ranking in academic and campus life have fees less than half of what this college charges for the same degrees.
Clubs and societies aren't very open to providing learning opportunities to less experienced students. The selection in dance/music societies often favours only those who already have a strong background in the same. Fests and dandiya nights have a good crowd and is the only time I enjoy being in college.
Overall, the college experience is pretty poor for the amount of hype they give to "north campus" colleges. 5/10 experience.
When it comes to infrastructure it doesn't stand out to be called as a DU college. It lacks basic facilities in many classrooms such as ACs, proper furniture, cleanliness. Also the building looks old and rusty. The college also lacks network connects in most of the area.
As in academics, daulatram college is good....also it is number one in whole delhi uni for the Philosophy department . The teachers are also kind and cooperative as in my department (philosophy).......
As I'm a fresher i have heard of the placements of daulatram college to be strong and high......the highest package of 2024 was of 23.5 LPA in INR and average packages are of 6 LPA in INR..............
There are some other features of Daulatram college that i would like to share- -therd is an optional course of legal literacy in collaboration with DLSA -there is and option to meet with lawyers and discuss the legal problems for free int he college
The infrastructure is all right, few rooms are equipped with Ac facilities. There is a problem of space and sometimes it gets congested but the new building is being built so hopefully that problem goes away. The hall is big and overall it is like any DU college.
The faculty depends on from which department you are, but mostly it is good. You will have a mix of teachers but overall it is all right. Most of the faculty is friendly and will help with due diligence.
I think it depends more on you individually than the college on how good placement you can get. It also varies from year to year, but they try to get you the best internships and job offers possible.
The fees for Daulat ram college is comparatively higher than any other Du college. And honestly it doesn’t justify, maybe because of the new construction that is happening.
It’s a girl college, but personally i like it the best. All the reasons delhi is infamous for, you feel safe when step into DRC, because you dont have guys staring you and you are still within campus so you can make friends outside of your college as well.
Your college life depends more on you and what friends you make. Step out of your comfort zone and do things you never pictured yourself in, will make you understand yourself better. Enjoy your college life.
