Academics
Faculty are knowledgeable and take academics seriously. They follow a structured teaching approach and ensure syllabus coverage along with practical understanding. Teachers often share additional notes, references, and online materials to help students learn better. Faculty guidance during final-year projects and internships is very helpful. Many professors motivate students to prepare for competitive exams, higher studies, and certifications. While some teachers are strict about discipline and deadlines, it helps maintain academic standards.
College Infra
College has energetic academic environment. Although the campus area is not extremely large, it is well utilized with clean academic blocks, modern labs, and well-organized classrooms. Most classrooms are equipped with digital teaching tools that make learning more interactive. The laboratories are well maintained and updated to meet current curriculum and industry standards. The library is spacious and provides a calm atmosphere for long study hours, with access to both physical books and online resources.
Placements
College has impressive placements record. Cse and IT have the highest number of offers, but Mechanical, Civil, and EEE students also get opportunities in both core and service-based companies. The placement cell conducts aptitude training, coding practice, resume-building sessions, and mock interviews well before the placement season. The average salary package is around ₹5–6 LPA, and high-skilled students manage to secure offers beyond ₹12 LPA. Many students also get internships in their third or final year, which helps them gain industry exposure early.

Academics
Faculty are experienced and well-qualified, with many professors holding PhDs and strong academic backgrounds. They explain concepts clearly and focus on building strong fundamentals, which helps students in exams as well as placements. Teachers regularly conduct tests, assignments, and lab evaluations to keep students engaged. Faculty members are approachable and guide students during projects, internships, and research work. Many professors also encourage students to participate in technical fests, hackathons, and workshops.
College Infra
My college is well-developed campus that feels active and student-oriented. The buildings are modern and neatly maintained, with classrooms that are spacious, clean, and fitted with projectors and audio systems. Laboratories are one of the strong points of the college, especially for CSE, ECE, Mechanical, and Civil branches, where students get good hands-on exposure with proper equipment. The central library is large and quiet, offering textbooks, reference books, journals, and digital resources, which are very helpful during exams and project work. The campus also includes seminar halls, auditoriums, sports grounds, and indoor game facilities.
Placements
Placements are very strong and are one of the main reasons students prefer this college. Many reputed companies from IT, product-based, consulting, and core sectors visit the campus every year. Companies like Infosys, TCS, Accenture, Cognizant, Capgemini, Deloitte, Amazon, Microsoft, Bosch, and IBM recruit students regularly. The average package usually ranges from ₹5–7 LPA, while top-performing students secure packages above ₹10–15 LPA. Academics
As an ISE department, academics are overwhelming. Teaching quality varies a lot, and many classes lack clarity or depth. Practical exposure is limited, and the curriculum feels rushed.
Overall, it is very average but could be more job oriented.
College Infra
The infrastructure at DSCE is quite good, with most essential facilities available on campus. Classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors and the labs for engineering branches are well maintained with the required equipment. The library is a strong point, offering a wide range of books, peaceful reading spaces, and a good seating. WIFI is available across many areas, though it can be inconsistent at times. Sports facilities are decent, and the campus is clean overall. Hostels are manageable, though the food could be better.
Campus Life
Campus life is average. There are some extracurricular activities and events, but overall engagement and student interaction could be better. Facilities are okay but not very vibrant.
Placements
The placement scenario at DSCE is average. The college provides basic support, but the process can feel unstructured and competitive. Networking opportunities and guidance exist but are inconsistent, making it challenging for many students to secure preferred roles. Overall, placements are decent for consistent performers, but those aiming for high packages may need extra preparation outside college support.

what to do
Since SNQ seats are often branch-specific, changing your branch in the 2nd round can cause the quota not to carry over. Check DSCE’s official counselling guidelines for quota rules. Since you got SNQ quota in the first round for DSCE but a different branch in the second round without SNQ, it may be because SNQ seats weren’t available in that branch. You should contact the college admissions office immediately and explain your situation. Ask if your SNQ quota can
