An MBA program is a must for the ones who aspire to get into corporate, and needless to say, assume managerial roles that require certain capabilities to be harnessed beforehand. The Department of Financial Studies (erstwhile MFC) of Delhi University is one such institute that offers MBA degree in Financial Management, a course highly recommended by Finance specialists and professionals, to address the current demands of the industry. Course Structure: MBA (FM) comprises of four semesters. The first two semesters comprise of subjects that lay the foundation for students to build and facilitate your financial acumen. The final semester allows students to specialize in electives of their choice. Teaching Pedagogy & Faculty: At DFS, we believe that no analyst will face the same textbook case study. Hence, the focus is on developing a deep understanding of the fundamentals through detailed classroom discussions, presentations, and case discussions under the guidance of esteemed faculty. Distinguished Alumni: Mr. Promod Kumar (MD, Barclays Capital); Mr. Ajay Tyagi (Executive VP, UTI Asset Management); Mr. Annirudha Naha (Fund Manager, IDFC); Mr. Anurag Gharyan (VP, Wells Fargo, California) are some of our distinguished alumni. Placements: Financial Roles of Investment Banking, Equity Research, Corporate Banking, Credit Analyst and Corporate Finance were offered by companies like De Shaw, ICRA, ICICI, JLL, Nestle and many others. The highest package accorded a total CTC of 21 LPA with median CTC being 10.5 LPA Global Associations: The Department of Financial Studies enjoys a long-standing relationship of collaboration with the following academic institutions: Akron University, USA; ESC Pau and REIMS Management School, ReimsCedex, France.
