The College Gymnasium is established inside the campus. It is equipped with all the necessary equipment to keep the students and staff physically fit and mentally balanced.
The college Library is an integral and indispensable part of an academic institute as well as a learning center, the management has set up the library with a wide range of Text Books, Reference Books, National and International Journals, E-Journals, Magazines, Periodicals, News Papers to fulfill the needs of the students. An Air-conditioned Digital Library has been set up to keep staff and students updated with global trends. Total Books: 10098
The college has three state-of-the-art computer labs covering an area of 6000 sq ft. It is equipped with 150 numbers i3 4th generation computers loaded with relevant software and internet connectivity. Student’s computer ratio is 1:1. For effective management and interaction among all the members the Institute has converted itself into an e-campus institute
The College's objective of the Canteen and meal service is to protect by reducing the risk of foodborne illness with proper sanitary conditions and preventing adulterated food. At DAMITS, keeping in view the importance of a healthy diet, the canteen menu is designed in such a way as to offer nutritious and wholesome food. The Hostellers, Day Boarders, and Staff are provided meals of assured food safety and quality. The canteen is equipped with modern cooking equipment which ensures hot breakfast, lunch and dinner both to the students and staff at reasonable rates.
The college Rourkela is a small beautiful and well-connected city of Odisha. Most of the students prefer to come to college with their own connivance. The institute is connected with public transport services. However, DAMITS has its own transportation facilities which are used for various educational purposes like field trips, industrial visits study tours, etc for the students.
The Institute has an Alumni Association which brings all pass out students together at least once in a year for interaction in respect of the progress and betterment of the Institute as well as job prospects of the students.
The institute has 24 hours leased 4 MBPS internet connectivity and upgraded itself as the wireless campus with Wi-Fi technology. Booth the Day scholars and hostelites enjoy this facility.
The college has departmental based laboratories facility for the students.
The Institute has a well-furnished huge conference hall with a capacity of 1000 audience with inbuilt LCD facility and AC provision. We have a spacious, scientifically designed and well furnished Seminar Hall with the provision of LCD, White Board and inbuilt AC arrangement. The Institute conducts departmental, National & International Seminars, Workshops and conferences regularly to provide opportunities to the students to enhance their confidence and keep abreast with latest changes. Professionals and experts are invited to sensitise the students.
The college has a consumer Co-operative store functions within the premises institute which is used by the students and staffs.
The college has the sports facilities for all students.
The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
We need to care our Mother Nature as it teaches us survival of the fittest and nourishes us in all aspects. Nature has endowed us with incredible assets like biodiversity and natural resources. The conservation of these assets has become the need of the hour. It is our responsibility to leave this planet in better shape for future generations.
The college Programming club aims to establish a coding culture on campus, reaching every student passionate about coding. In today’s rapidly changing environment, programming skills are essential tools that can be utilized and incorporated into various fields and domains. The motive of this club is to impart to students the importance of coding, developing applications, and knowing about the various design tools, and desktop computing techniques used in the industry currently. The institute conducts workshops on areas of computer science like web development, application development, machine learning, etc, and represents the college at inter-collegiate events.
DAMITS Sports Club encourages students to develop their sports skills in various outdoor and indoor games like Football, Tennis, Cricket, Hockey, Badminton, Volleyball, and Weight Lifting. The club encourages the students to participate in inter-college competitions. It helps in developing positive attitudes, self-confidence, courage, patience, and physical fitness. It helps in developing skills to perform certain jobs, the quality of an organizer, an administrator, and the development of personality as a whole.
DAMITS Cultural Club is responsible for all the cultural events in the institute around the year. It helps the students develop knowledge, skills, and attitude, the very essence of an outcome-based education. The cultural activities also help in building confidence and exhibiting their leadership skills in the domain of their interest.
The Training and Placement Cell is an integral part of this college. Training and placement activities are organized throughout the year with a view to preparing the prospective learners for the campus selection programs. It is heartening to state that reputed industries across the country visit this college regularly for campus recruitment programs however, cell maintains good rapport with all industries for effective recruitment. In order to enhance the employability quotient of the students as demanded by industry, the Training & Placement cell provides much-needed training to the students to hone their employability skills. These training programs give the students tips on how to crack aptitude, group discussion, interview skills, and resume preparation. The cell also educates the students about career opportunities in different areas such as Public Sector, Armed forces, and Government Sector services by conducting guest lectures regularly.
