Engineering Staff College of India, Hyderabad Admission Process

Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Hyderabad, Telangana, was instituted as an autonomous institution. ESCI offers three full-time postgraduate diplomas in management for two years. The admission process at ESCI intends to identify and select the most brilliant candidates rigorously and selectively. For its PGDM programmes, the Engineering Staff College of India recognises a few of the national entrance tests for management. These are the Common Admission Test (CAT), Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT), Management or MAT, AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA), and Common Management Admission Test (CMAT). São Paulo also recognises ICET-T and ICET-C tests.

A bachelor's degree in any subject from a recognised university is a basic PGDM requirement in ESCI. Candidates who are about to appear for their final examinations are also eligible to apply, provided they meet the eligibility criteria by the time the admission is granted. The crucial dates for the Engineering Staff College of India admission process differ with the particular entrance examination opted for by the candidate. For example, XAT happens around the beginning of January, while CMAT occurs halfway through the month. The MAT conducts multiple sessions throughout each year. Each candidate should, therefore, check those websites, including the ESCI one, for updates.

Engineering Staff College of India Application Process

The admission process for PGDM courses in ESCI is composed of three steps:

      • Entrance Exams: Candidates are expected to sit for any of the entrance examinations accepted (CAT, XAT, CMAT, ATMA, MAT, GMAT) or relevant state/central exams.
      • Application Form: Post-receiving their scores in the entrance exams, the candidates are to fill out the ESCI application form, which can usually be found on the official website of the ESCI.
      • Document Submission: Along with the application form, candidates must submit the required documents.
      • Application Fees: Candidates may need to pay the application fees set by ESCI.
      • Shortlisting: Time and the applicant's academic records, plus entrance exam performance wee would determine the shortlist of candidates for the next round.
      • Personal interview: Candidates on the shortlist would be invited to a personal interview at the ESCI campus in Hyderabad.
      • Final Selection: Final selection would be based on a composite score including performance in the entrance exam, academic record, work experience, if any, and performance in the personal interview.
      • Offer of Admission: Successful applicants will receive an offer to study at ESCI.
      • Acceptance and Fee Payment: This offer must be confirmed with the payment of the Engineering Staff College of India admission fee on or before the given deadline by candidates willing to accept the offer.
