Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in History is a full-time three-year undergraduate degree course offered by the University of Delhi, Delhi.

The Department has an extremely specialized faculty. Our faculty members have developed expertise in particular areas of Indian and World History. Papers are distributed keeping in mind the period of specialization and area knowledge of the teachers concerned.

The core papers offered at the Honours level are as follows- History of India, and Medieval World, social formations and Cultural Patterns of the Medieval World, The Rise of the Modern West (mid 15th Century to the American Revolution), History of the USA (circa 1776-1945), History of the USSR (circa 1917-1964), History of East Asia, History of Modern Europe (circa 1780-1939), Gender in Indian History,Environmental Issues in India. Under the CBCS skill enhancement courses like Understanding Heritage and Indian Art and Architecture are offered.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidate must have passed Class XII or its equivalent from a single recognized board.
A candidate applying to CSAS-2023 must have appeared in CUET(UG) - 2023, conducted by NTA.
Candidate must have appeared in CUET(UG) - 2023 in only those subjects in which she has passed Class XII.
The candidate is advised to check whether she satisfies all eligibility criteria for the Program(s) for which she is applying and has appeared in CUET(UG) - 2023 in the relevant subject/Test papers fulfilling the Program - Specific eligibility published in the UGBOI-2023.
If a candidate has applied in CSAS-2023 but doesn't fulfil the eligibility criteria of any Program offered by UoD, his/her candidature will not be considered.

Admission Details

Admission to all UG Programs of UoD for the Academic Session 2023-24 will be through CSAS-2023, based on the eligibility requirements stated in UG BOI-2023 and other rules as published by the University of Delhi on its website.

College Infrastructure

The campus infrastructure is good. The auditorium of the college is big and well structured. The new projectors enabled classroom, library, Sports ground are there in the college. The campus is designed really well.

Who say's that girls can't enjoy without boys.

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is good, like proper seating to each and every student and also for teacher. Though the number of rooms is less and some time we had to fight for the room with department students but it also have fun.

Overall college experience is nice and pleasant

College Infrastructure

College infrastructure is very poor and a lot of work is required to bring it up-to the mark with no internet networks, small classrooms and also very dirty and unhygienic washrooms. The food is hygienic
