The infrastructure here is awesome. The labs are well equipped and the classrooms are very spacious. The auditorium is a view to behold. The garden the doctor's room are so well made and fully equipped. It is definitely a good choice.
The academic quality here is definitely good and up to date. Even in the time of pandemic, when an outstation station like me can't be physically available there, the classes are held regularly and seriously with ample updated material and regular tests and assessments.
The placement cell here is really active throughout. They held webinars for those students who didn't have much knowledge about all this which is a great help. Even the companies which come here offer packages of 21 to 23 lacs which is such a good amount.
My course is not so expensive as well. It costs around 10k per year which is not a huge amount. Comparatively the academic and other facilities and opportunities I got here are worth the money.
The campus life here is awesome too with thrilling events which are held regularly.
Gargi College have really well maintained infrastructure. The environment of campus is also good. Classrooms are quite spacious as well as the labs. Also, the library is huge, well maintained and have all the books which you might not able to find at some other place. The botanical garden remains the star of our college. The only issue we face is network problems despite having boosters . So, the college should work on having robust network availability.
I am currently studying BA Hons. ( Political Science) . Our college has one of the best academic results. All the proffessors are highly qualified and no doubt there methods of teaching makes us the students understand the concept clearly. Proffessors are very supportive and helpful. Study materials are also provided on regular basis. Plus, we used have seminars and webinars on regular intervals which provides students to gain knowledge about particular subjects in great detail.
Placement cell of the college is good. The cell remained active through out the covid and provided the students with so many webinars, seminars and internship opportunities. The placement rate is impressive which is 85%.
The course cost us around Rs.12,000 per year. It's worth it as Gargi College is one of the most renowned and reputed college of University of Delhi. The teaching is not only limited to books only but with the seminars and webinars our knowledge os enhanced.
The campus life is worth all the hype. The college infrastructure is so beautiful, it's so spacious and open. Looks beautiful during rainy season. The sports ground is gigantic though I am not a sports student but I could tell it's so much fun. The terrace provides such a beautiful view. Other than network issue our college campus is pretty good. It is located in siri fort near South extension. And the overall area of our college is quite safe and less crowded.
Being a student of the batch 2023, I haven't really experienced on-campus mode of our college, but the infrastructure looks good and the campus has almost all the basic facilities required in a college campus. It has auditoriums, laboratories, cafe, canteen, photo copy shop, and stationery shops nearby.
I'm a student of B.Com (H) and I would say the quality of teaching is pretty good. The professors of core subjects make sure that the students are attentive in class and ask questions from almost everyone. We even have some fun talk sessions with the teachers in the middle of the lecture sometimes, which gives it a good atmosphere. But, I remember my EVS teacher gave a zillion assignments which after a point of time became impossible to complete. Also, some teachers did not take regular classes.
The quality of placements has been pretty good ever since. Even in the pandemic, the average package was 4.38 LPA. Whereas the highest was for 19.25 LPA. The recruitment was the most beneficial for the commerce branch with 61.8%.
The course costed me 12000/pa which I believe is very reasonable and we are getting good worth of money. Considering the faculty, the infrastructure and other facilities such as good internship opportunities has been good.
As far as the campus is concerned, though I did not experience on-campus life but I believe Gargi College in itself has an amazing goodwill accompanied with various fests and other annual events. The campus life experience, I feel is pretty worth.
My college is one of the best college in delhi university in south campus. Campus is very good with infrastructure , all the facilities are there auditorium, library, cantine, cafe and all which are needed. I am very satisfied with my college
I am doing ba programme with eco and pol science. I want to do my graduation from a college with good reputation so opt for gargi... its ragging free and election free girls college. The teaching quality is good enough as its online not offline so with that also am satisfied
I am really not into placements at all so dont have enough knowledge about that because i am a upsc aspirant so not into placement cell. But what i hear and see the groups of placement cell its one of the best cell in delhi university
Talking about my fee... its 12000 something per year. So its lowest i guess, its like 10 times lower than my school per year fee. So gargi college provides very good education with just little bit of fee. My money is totally worth and i thing its more than worth
Talking about campus offline classes were not there so i reached tje college one two times only. So its totally safe area with police petrolling and police station very near. Its girls college in that its also safe. And after seeing the campus its totally good like i m in love with campus of my college. Teachers and staff are good.
Its a great college with faculties , infrastructure, campus, area , and all the things. Worth our money and education is great.
Overall good infrastructure, have all necessary infrastructure, wifi available for both teachers and students, a big auditorium.. And a very good building with red color theme.Don't describe more as we are online students form last 1 year.
Curriculum is updated and yes, study at gargi make us job ready, teachers are well qualified. Am student of B.A. programme and a government job aspirant. Quality of teaching is best. Overall providing outstanding academics.
Provide placement very high percentage and at good departments and company.high quality and valuable placement at top companies and departments. Average salary are of 25 to 30k of internship and of jobs it is more than that.
Average cost for course
Haven't experience campus life as online classes are going from last year
Top south college
Great experience but infra could be improved The college has an environment of curiosity and the people and faculty are nice however some improvements in the infrastructure could be made such as installation of ACs in all the classrooms, smart boards. The Wi-Fi banquet is rather low because it is located in near a historical site and the mobile data also works dubiously. The living space however is clean and the food is hygienic. There is abundance of nature like trees, flowers, bushes.
Interesting syllabus with engaging modes of teaching The syllabus for the entire Delhi University has been updated recently. Although it does not match the universal standards yet and can you get a bit too theoretical as a student of political science and economics I feel what I am studying is in my area of interest. The introduction of environmental sciences was an interesting twist to give education a contemporary twist. However it’s not job ready since my subjects are largely theoretical.
Known for Great placements Gargi college has been one of the finest colleges in terms of placements. Not just the quantity but also the quality of placements is commendable with a large number of students getting placed every year. The The process is easy and pleasant and the college was supportive.
Fairly cheap The course is fairly cheap at around 14,000 per year. I feel I’m getting the money is worth not just in terms of the syllabus and the education but also the faculty and the students. The students are highly knowledgeable, driven, supportive and helpful. There exists healthy competition which is a rarity in DU colleges. The environment is conversation friendly given it’s a girls college.
Amazing student life with abundant opportunities The best part about College campus bore the people and the cultural and academic abundance of opportunities. There are numerous societies such as debating English writing photography filmmaking drama music both Indian and Western quizzing which could interest students. The teachers and the support staff are supportive. The location is central in south Delhi. It’s fairly safe and it has been deemed to handle emergencies.
The Infrastructure is way too amazing, with beautiful and clean garden. Facilities are enough, with a library, audifyer, different places for societies to practise. One improvement is required that is with the washrooms.
Departments are here awesome and they manage to teach you so well even online. My personal experience has been under political science and English department and political science department is way too awesome and they teach you not only sticking to the boom but outer world knowledge too.
I haven’t yet got graduated but I’ve heard a lot positive stuff about placement cell and also the opportunities are daily circulated on whatsapp groups. The placement cell offer opportunities daily even for undergrads
My money is totally worth it and also the fees per year is affordable.
My campus life has been online since the day one and everything went online.
Gargi College is a wonderful college with a beautiful campus and is recommended.
Gargi College has a beautiful infrastructure, and allows us to avail all necessary facilities and equipments. The classrooms although are a little limited vacancies, but the library and laboratories, including sports equipments are topnotch. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in best possible way in eating areas.
I am studying B.A. Prog. allowing me to involve in a xross disciplinary framework. The quality of teaching is apt with lecturers focusing on comprehensive delivery of subject matter. However, the curriculum can involve more practical aspects of life including skill grade up to make us job ready. I wouldn't recommend BA Prog if you aim for placements or higher educatiom.
The quality of placements has been amazing. A good percentage of students are placed every year with highest salary package being 19.25 LPA, offered to a student from B.A. (Hons.) Economics. The Average Salary being 4.38 LPA, the entire recruitment process is easy and pleasant. The college is supportive and works in best interests of students. However, it os recommended to always check the annual reports of other colleges to make a comparative analysis suiting your requirements.
My course costs INR 12,295 only. I feel the money spent is worth it considering the numerous opportunities available at college to improve oneself at every step. The societies and clubs offer a diverse experience into various subjects. Placement Cell brings a plethora of opportunities. Exposure to co curriculur activities enhances your self confidence. One should know how to make the best use of it.
College campus is a whole range of diverse activities. From academics to dance and music, ine can experience the joys of life. Our college is a No Ragging Zone and offers a safe space for any new to metro girl. Teachers are supportive, knowledgeable and professional at the same time. However, the support staff and office administrators might be reluctant to help or offer service.
Welcome to the new world, young aspirants!
My college looks good, very hygienic the food is good as well. There are various places to hangout and to click pictures with your friends. It's as aesthetic as a college should be with it's red walls gleaming in rain.
I am majoring in political science and economics. The economics and other subject teachers are good. But i don't think so my class has the right atmosphere of a political science class, it varies from department to department. The curriculum is average but is very good at covering some topics. What i am studying is making me job ready and it's a lot of information that can be useful in a lot of ways.
The placement cell is absolutely wonderful. New opportunities are posted daily, some of them are paid as well. The cell is very active and organises various workshops and webinars for a lot of things.
My course costed 12k per year and every penny is worth it not because of the course but because of the people you meet here. They are loving and inspiring in so many ways. The culture here is what needs appreciation, the bravado to stand in the face of wrong, being together and a lot more. I am glad i chose Gargi.
Kamla Nehru College is our neighbouring college and Lsr is a few kilometres away. The area is very posh and expensive, but it's safe as well. Teachers and staff are supportive. The administration is arrogant and ignorant in a lot of ways.
Regardless of your course, Gargi has a very healthy atmosphere and will help you grow immensely. All the socities are spectacular and very hardworking.
Overall infra of Gargi college is very good, it's just that we have network problem due to jammers in the surrounding areas. Some classrooms are very well managed while some need managment. We don't have hostels yet. Labs, libraries, sports centres have great facilities for the upliftment of students.
Gargi College is famous for sciences but as far as maths hons is concerned, our department is new and hence we have very less activities as of now but it will be better in near future hopefully but teachers are very supportive and excellent.
Maths hons has no good placements in the whole of DU unless you want to get into corporate soon after the graduation. We have placements for sales executive, business development executive profiles but that is something you have to learn outside the curriculum. The course only preps you for teaching jobs but if you learn other skills through other mediums, the placement cell is very active.
Fees and all is okay. The college has all facilities required for a graduate student. It's just that the department is new so we didn't get opportunities as other maths colleges.
Campus life is best, we have the best societies, the best fests of DU. The college is located in a porsche area and it's way too hygienic. The only problem we face is that of network otherwise Gargi has the best campus life.
Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa College, New Delhi, will be the best option among the Gargi, ARSD, and Khalsa College if the distance is not the parameter.
SGTB Khalsa College is the oldest college with the best infrastructure and phenomenal teaching faculty. Every facility is available in this college.
For
I guess sericulture would be better. As it would have easy topics and things which are quite easy to understand and remember. Still I'll guide you with its syllabus so you can have a idea whether what consequences you'll face if you take Sericulture as your subject.
