Government Engineering College Daman (GEC Daman) is a government engineering college. The college offers various B.Tech programmes and has had a holistic admission process for selecting those deserving. The GEC Daman admission process is entirely carried out by entrance examinations—mostly JEE Main and GUJCET. 

These exams are usually declared, and the GEC Daman admission cycle is open shortly thereafter. The JEE Main is a pan-India test, while GUJCET is relevant only to Gujarat. The candidates must appear for these tests and obtain cutoff ranks. The merit list for admission into GEC Daman is drawn on the basis of entrance exam performances. 

The application process for GEC Daman admission is composed of a few stages, as follows:

• Appearance in the JEE Main or GUJCET entrance examination
• After results declaration, visit the official GEC Daman or the admitting authority website where GEC Daman admission information is given
• Fill in the online application form with true and complete personal and academic data
• Upload the following documents.
• The application fee is to be paid through the prescribed method
• Submit the completed application form
• Wait for the merit list to be published
• Attend counselling sessions as scheduled if shortlisted
• Complete the admission procedure if given a seat (document verification and fee payment)

• Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination with core subjects being Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
• Score qualifying marks in JEE Main or GUJCET
• Any further criteria laid down by the institute or admitting authority

GEC Daman runs five different B.Tech programmes, each sanctioned for an intake of 60 students. The admission procedure is the same for all B.Tech programmes, namely, based on their respective entrance examination scores. 

The B.Tech programmes available are:

• B.Tech in Civil Engineering
• B.Tech in Electrical Engineering
• B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering
• B.Tech in Biomedical Engineering
• B.Tech in Computer Science Engineering

The procedure for GEC Daman admission to all of these programmes is as follows:

• Appear for either JEE Main or GUJCET
• A merit list will be prepared based on the performance in these entrance examinations
• From the merit list, candidates will be selected

This process is also open for admission to these programmes on the basis of any other state-level entrance, MH-CET. This allows students from other regions to seek admission to GEC Daman.
