Government Engineering College, Gopalganj Admission Process
Government Engineering College, Gopalganj (GEC Gopalganj), is a new institution set up by the Bihar government to provide technical education. The complete dedication of the college is to impart various engineering disciplines for engineers. GEC Gopalganj has a just and straightforward admission procedure to sieve all those players in the admission process who have both competence and passion.
GEC Gopalganj admission Process is based on the procedure for the national or state entrance examinations and a few more based on qualifying examination academic qualifications to admit students to other engineering colleges.
These branches will include the mainstream ones like Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Civil Engineering, which are Computer Science and Engineering with Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, and Cyber Security Including Block Chain Technology, Aeronautical Engineering, all of which are newer engineering areas.
GEC Gopalganj Application Process
However, based on most standard practices seen in Indian engineering colleges' applications, some of the steps that one would expect in the application are:
- Entrance Examination: Candidates will normally need to take a level state or national engineering entrance exam. This could be JEE Main or any other relevant exam that has recognition by the college.
- Application Form: when the results of the entrance exams are declared, qualifying candidates would apply in the prescribed application form for GEC Gopalganj.
- Submission of Documents: This phase includes the submission of mandatory documents to be submitted.
- Counselling Process: During this phase, the shortlisted candidates might be called for a counselling process where they can choose their preferred branch of engineering according to their rank and availability of seats.
- Fee Payment: Once a seat is allotted, the candidates need to pay the requisite fee to affirm their admission.
- Document Verification: Before the admission process gets finalised, the college shall ensure verification of all documents submitted.
GEC Gopalganj B. Tech Programmes Admission Process
The GEC Gopalganj offers the following B. Tech programmes with their intake capacity:
- B.Tech Electrical Engineering: 120 Seats
- B.Tech Internet of Things and Cyber Security Including Block Chain Technology: 60 Seats
- B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (Artificial Intelligence): 60 Seats
- B.Tech Mechanical Engineering: 60 Seats
- B.Tech Civil Engineering: 60 Seats
- B.Tech Aeronautical Engineering: 30 Seats
Presumably, the admission process for the B. Tech programmes will be concerned with relevant entrance examination scores, without specifying any. This also requires candidates to have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as core subjects from any recognised board.
GEC Gopalganj Documents Required
- 10th & 12th standard Mark sheets.
- Entrance exam scorecard.
- Category certificate, if any.
- Domicile certificate, if provided.
- Any other documents specified by the college.
Final selection is based on accurate documentation.

Academics
The academics of this college is average. The classes are conducted everyday. Attendance is strictly followed here. Specially in Core departments , attendance is strictly followed. Both biometric and resistor attendance are important.
College Infra
College infrastructure is very bad.The College is newly situated but it's look is very average. The maintenance of this college is very poor and Management is also not so good. So , as per my opinion ,The college infrastructure is not so good.!!
Campus Life
Campus Life is very poor. They don't have any facilities like GYM, sports and The campus is not maintained. They have almost poor facilities. Their management is also not very supportive. They here the problem very late. The canteen is also very bad because of their bad management even they don't have good seating capacity.
Placements
Placement record is very poor . The college is newly situated. So the placement record is not openly available. Specially IT related branches are Newly introduced here. So IT department has not published any placement record.
Value For Money
Specially in bihar engineering , They never charge higher amount for any Technical education. They charge examination fees only. But their management is also very poor. They don't have any online payment system , They have only cash option. If you have to get cash , Then you have to go atleast 2 km outside from the college.

Academics
Academically, the college is doing well. The teaching quality is good, and most faculty members are supportive and helpful. The curriculum is updated and includes modern technologies, especially in the AI branch, which helps students stay aligned with industry trends and become job ready.
College Infra
My experience at Government Engineering College, Gopalganj has been quite positive so far. The college provides good infrastructure with all the necessary facilities required for engineering students. classrooms are equipped with smart board, laboratories are well - maintained, and the library is well stocked. The campus is clean and hygienic, and hostel facilities are decent with wifi availability.
Campus Life
Campus life is enjoyable, with various activities like sports, yoga sessions, and cultural events. The environment is friendly, and both faculty and students are cooperative. However, the campus could improve in terms of seating arrangements and overall student hangout spaces.
Placements
when it comes to placements, the situation is average. Around 60-70% of students get placed, with an average package of approximately 4LPA. While top tier opportunities may be limited, the college does provide support and guidance.
Value For Money
One of the biggest advantages of this college is its affordability. the fees are very low compared to other engineering colleges, making it a great option for students looking for quality education at a reasonable cost.

Academics
Currently I am studying Btech in 2nd year in AI trade. Here teaching quality is good. Teachers are also supportive.
New curriculum has been practicing in our college. It has all development in the fields.
College Infra
This college infrastructure is so good. It provide all basic facilities.
It has smart class, full facilitated library, hostel has good wifi connection.
Everything is well maintained.
It's all clean and very hygienic.
Campus Life
My college campus is so pretty. Few trees and thick grasses on which you can't sit. But it also doesn't have any benches in ground to sit. Student plays cricket, there are yoga classes for students every morning and evening
Placements
Placement quality is average in my college, not so good not so bad. 60 to 70 percent students get placed . I don't know the highest salary package.
Average it's 4LPA may be. My college is supportive and will make you ready for jobs.
Value For Money
It is cost effective college. Per year it's approx 20000 including hostel mess and everything. It's worth spending money here because it's also giving proper facilities to students. Quality education.
