Government Polytechnic, Kanker Course Admission 2024 - Fees, Date, Cutoff & Eligibility

The common admission to 1st year diploma for Government Polytechnic, Kanker will be conducted by the Department Of Technical Education (DTE). For admission in the diploma courses, common entrance examination shall be conducted and the result of common entrance examination shall be used to determine the merit list for the purpose of admission. For the candidates of chhattisgarh, the minimum qualifying marks shall be relaxed by 5%. The candidates have to sit for the PPT (Pre Polytechnic Test) while the qualifying examination is class 10th. The PPT marks form the merit list. Through the centralised counselling and choice filling, the candidates shall be admitted into the Government Polytechnic, Kanker.

Government Polytechnic Kanker Eligibility criteria

• Passing 10th through a recognised board with minimum 35% marks for the general category and only passing marks for SC/ST/OBC/PWD category.
• Passing separately in maths and science subjects in 10th class is essential.
• The upper age limit for the unreserved category is 30 years; SC/ST/OBC category is 33 years; and for the PWD category candidate is 35 years.

Government Polytechnic Kanker Admission Process

• The dates of counselling programme shall be published in the state/national newspapers and shall also be uploaded on the website of the Directorate of Technical Education cgdteraipur.cgstate.gov.in, and respective websites for online counselling of different courses. 
• For participating in the online counselling for different courses, the candidates have to deposit ₹200 as counselling fees.
• Process of online counselling shall be published on the website of the Directorate of Technical Education, before commencement of the admission procedure.
• The allotment of seats shall be done through the process of centralised online counselling. An information brochure containing the complete process of online counselling shall be published on the website of the Directorate of Technical Education, Raipur.
• It is mandatory for the candidate to get their documents verified at the document verification centre before allotment. Without this, they shall not be considered for allotment. Different Polytechnic institutions of the state shall be selected/ appointed as the document verification centre for verification of documents.
• If the candidate has filled the option of course and institute but not done the document verification, then the candidate shall not be considered for allotment.
• The option of choice filling will be available to the candidates who have successfully made it into the merit list. 
• Students can choose their option however the allocation will be dependent on the rank in the common examination, number of applicants, availability of seats, etc.
• After the allocation is done through the software, the candidates have to make the required fee payment and report to the allotted institutions within the stipulated time.

Note: Priority shall be given in admission for candidate of related districts for Government Polytechnics of Sarguja, Baster, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Kanker, KOriya, Jashpur, Sukma, Ramanujganj, Kondagaon, Surajpur district. Priority in admission at the institute level shall be given to candidates of home district on the basis of merit of marks obtained in 10th.
