Government Polytechnic Kanker admission is offered to diploma courses in the field of Engineering. The Department of Technical Education (DTE) will conduct the Government Polytechnic Kanker admissions. Government Polytechnic Kanker admissions are offered to the candidates based on the 10th class and entrance examinations.
The admission is based on the marks obtained in one of the entrance examinations (AIEEE/ CET (State-conducted test/ University tests/ CMAT/ GPAT)/ Association conducted test). The announcement of admissions is made on the official website of the Government Polytechnic Kanker. The test agency is CG VYAPAM and the Directorate of Technical Education, Govt. of Chhattisgarh Raipur, for organising the tests. Selected candidates will be called for counselling.
The dates of the counselling programme shall be published in the state/national newspapers and uploaded on the website of the Directorate of Technical Education, cgdteraipur.cgstate.gov.in, and on the respective websites for online counselling of different courses.
For participating in the online counselling for different courses, the candidates have to deposit Rs 200 as counselling fees.
Candidates must submit their documents for verification.
The option of choice filling will be available to the candidates who have successfully made it into the merit list.
Students can choose their option, however, the allocation will be dependent on the rank in the common examination, the number of applicants, and the availability of seats.

Note: Priority shall be given in admission for candidates of related districts for Government Polytechnics of Sarguja, Bastar, Bijapur, Narayanpur, Kanker, Koriya, Jashpur, Sukma, Ramanujganj, Kondagaon, and Surajpur districts. Priority in admission at the institute level shall be given to candidates of the home district based on merit of marks obtained in the 10th grade.
The candidates first need to appear in the relevant entrance examinations (AIEEE/ CET (State-conducted test/ University tests/ CMAT/ GPAT)/ Association conducted test) and then, after attaining a good score, they can apply for admission on the website. If shortlisted, then participate in the online counselling process, and after selection, the candidates need to submit the required documents with the required fee for Diploma admission.
