The College has Library was established in the year 1935 and started functioning in the very same year. The Library was named after the late Baikuntha Chandra Gupta following a huge donation from his family for the development of the library. The library celebrated the platinum-jubilee year along with the college. Library Users Students: 4,722 Teachers. 88, Non-Teaching Staff 34, Also open to noninstitutional members like research scholars, academicians, Ex teachers, and locals Library Staff 9 including Librarian (4 Sanctioned & 5 part-time staff) Library Hours: 9 am to 5 pm, Library System: Open Access System where library users can browse books in the stack & issue Library Holdings.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.
- Cafeteria
The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The College has a Canteen. It is meant for the students, Teachers, and Non-Teaching Staff.
- Auditorium
The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars. Adding to the beauty and glory of the College, there is a vast and magnificent Auditorium furnished with a stage known as "Bhasha-Sahid Smriti Mancha". The Auditorium has the capacity to accommodate 800 spectators or an audience.

The college has good networking for the alumni association. is extremely proud of its enriched and resourceful alumni who are well-settled in India and abroad.

College Infrastructure
The GC college has good infrastructure, facilities and equipments. The classrooms are quite big and can accommodate students around 50 or more. There is NCC, nss also available. The canteen food is good and also many nearby restaurants available. But no wifi facility available.

The gurucharan college is located in silchar town, so we have all the facilities like stationary shops, eateries, just in a walkable distance. The college has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities, and equipment. The library has good number of books. The living spaces are clean. Though the wifi, smart boards are not there.

College Infrastructure
GC college silchar has all the facilities and infrastructure. Our college has functional library, laboratories, sports center, hostels etc. But there is no wifi connection yet for the classrooms. There is no smart board though projectors and all are there. Living spaces are very clean and the common ground is quite big and lots of trees are there.

Taking admission to the BA Hons in Economics at Gurucharan College, Silchar generally does require Mathematics. However, some institututions may offer BA (Hons) Economics without Mathematics in 10+2 examination.
