The Institute of Higher Learning and Technology, situated in Kutch. The institution runs a plethora of AICTE-approved undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and technology programmes. Institute of Higher Learning and Technology admission procedures are simplified with the well-structured admission system for selecting deserving candidates for the different undergraduate and postgraduate degrees offered in this institute. Institute of Higher Learning and Technology admission usually goes along with the academic year beginning around August-September, with applications open months before. For undergraduate programmes, Institute of Higher Learning and Technology takes admissions mainly based on GUJCET exam scores.
For ME programmes, the admission of postgraduates is based primarily on GATE scores and Gujarat Post Graduate Common Entrance Test scores. Dates for the GATE examination are set for February I & II next year, while the specific dates for Gujarat PGCET will be released shortly thereafter. Eligibility criteria are mentioned below for every programme. For students looking to enrol in the BE courses, complete the 10+2 pattern with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, keeping in mind a minimum aggregate score, usually around 50 to 55 cent, in the qualifying examination.
The application process of HJD Institute of Technical Education and Research is different for each programme:
The college offers BE, ME, and diploma courses.
The Institute of Higher Learning and Technology offers four BE programmes: Civil Engineering, Computer Science and Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering. GUJCET marks mainly determine admission to these four programmes. A total of 150 students can be enrolled in these programmes, of which civil engineering has been allocated the highest intake of 60 seats. The Institute of Higher Learning and Technology admission process, in this case, includes counselling followed by seat allotment as per the rank of the candidate in GUJCET as well as the choice of the candidate.
Four ME programmes are offered by the institution: Structural Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and CAD CAM. The Institute of Higher Learning and Technology admissions are based on GATE scores, with some institutes also considering other Government Approved PGCETs (Gujarat PGCET). The total intake for the ME programmes is 54, with the largest seat capacity again being Structural Engineering with 18 seats. Once the entrance examinations are conducted, candidates are called for interview sessions based on performance in the entrance examination.
There are few diploma courses offered in civil engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, and computer science and engineering by the HJD Institute, each with a 30-60 intake. The Institute of Higher Learning and Technology admission process of diploma courses may differ from those of BE and ME, and it is likely to be based on the state diploma entrance examination or 10th-grade merit.
Submitting the required documents is mandatory to proceed with Institute of Higher Learning and Technology admission.
