Candidates should have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination from a recognized board with the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English individually and should have secured at least 50% marks in total aggregate. In case candidates belong to the reserved category (SC/ ST/ OBC), they need to secure 45% marks in the qualifying examination. If a candidate falls under the category of Persons with Disabilities (PwD) the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology shall be 45 percent and there is a relaxation of 5% to those who belong to Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward classes. As per age criteria, candidates' age should not be less than 17 years and not more than 25 years on or before December 31 of the year of admission. The upper age limit may be relaxed by five years in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, and physically handicapped candidates. Candidates should have a valid scorecard of the NEET entrance test with 50% marks in the same. |
