The admission process of the institute is in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Government of Maharashtra and there is a provision for both centralized and institute-level admissions.

The admission cycle usually commences in the month or months preceding the commencement of the academic year. Though the dates are subject to yearly variation, a prospective student would be best advised to kick-start the preparations for application in advance, usually in the March-April timeframe for an academic year that commences in July-August.

In general, applicants must have completed their 10th standard (SSC) examination or equivalent from a recognized board.
