Dear Mayank
According to the list of admitted student in 2018 for Kasturba medical college, Mangalore the last students to get admission through govt. quota in UR category was with 435 neet marks, SC student with 264 and ST student with 336.
As for KMC, Manipal, from the list of admitted student for mbbs 2018, I only found that the last UR admitted student through management quota was with 494 marks but I am sure with your marks, the chances will be good here also.
Hope this helps you.
Hello Archi
If you consider last year cutoffs then Yes. Mangalore closed at 14k rank in first round and looking at the seat matrix for second round your chances are very bright. All the best. But this year the cutoffs are expected to rise so keep your fingers crossed.
Hi, shrestha.
Neet is an all India common entrance examination for the medical aspirants to get into the undergraduate courses in both government and private colleges.
Kasturba medical college, is the most prominent college which has the most cutoff marks required.
To be able to be eligible to get an admission the minimum cutoff marks required would be varied on the category but for a general student the minimum marks would be 520. It would be better if you get marks between 540 and 550 to get into the college without much competition.
It may change based on the number of students applied for the college, category, intake etc..,
Goodluck
Hello Mayank, You will definitely get admission to Kasturba Medical college. Because the Cutoff will definitely drop till 40,000-45,000. You were very close in the 1st round, I am very sure that you will get a seat in the 2nd round. The cutoff drops to 60-70% from the 1st round counseling because many students leave the seat after getting better colleges in the 2nd round.
Yes you might have a fair chance but can't guarantee. Last year the last person to enter KMC mangalore medical college had 516 marks. I said "can't guarantee" just because even you might be knowing that the cutoffs are expected to rise this year since the number of candidates had increased and also the paper level was called easy comparatively. But keep trying and best wishes with you.
Thank-you.
Dear Rafeena,
Since you were not allowed in round one there are less chance of you being allotted in round 2.This is because most of the seats are filled. But as far as deemed are concerned may people leave the college when they get admission in their state in a better college.
So I suggest to keep kmc in first priority to increase your chnaces,You would have 50% chance of getting a seat
ALL THE BEST FOR YOUR COUNSELLING!!
The cutoff marks for the KMC manglore were around 510+ with the rank 22466 for the previous year. So in order to secure the seat in KMC your marks are good enough to get into the institute. Go for the counselling rounds and then you will be able to secure the admission in there.
