Best College Experience

KMC is so much better than I expected. I knew that it was a great college in the North Campus but I had heard that the crowd was a little rowdy. Not at all. I've found amazing friends and everyone is super friendly. Societies are very active and diverse. MUSOC, the music society is amazing. It is the only music society in DU which performs both Indian and Western styles of music. The infrastructure is good and the faculty is very experienced and helpful. The college on campus and off campus placements are very very impressive. I love it here I never want college to end!

Kirori Mal is a good college with reference to teaching faculty and active college societies especially NCC society which is too good. But truly the college infrastructure is not nice, the campus is too small and the canteen facility is also poor.Otherwise, overall it is a good college.

IT MAKES A MAN OUT OF BOYS

I came to KMC from a very secured and protected environment. The freedom at KMC appealed to me and I was set on a course to explore the world on my own. I met new people and made new friends. Gradually, as time passed by, I started to feel at home. The first few months at KMC were spent to secure a hostel seat which in my opinion is a pretty tough task given the number of seats available for hostel accommodation. Finally I was successful to get myself admitted to the hostel, it was only then that I realised things were not as easy as they appeared to be. As i was a hostel resident I was trained by my seniors to lead the class and the college. The whole idea of students' union election was central to this process. Once the elections were over I was again free to work on my own. I worked smartly for my studies and was also engaged in a host of extra-curricular activities (ECA) like NSS, Hostel, Department, Students' Union etc.The bottomline is that one has to set his/ her priorities and manage time between all the odd jobs. the teachers at History department were very learned, co-operative and engaged us well into the discipline. More than mentoring us into history lessons they taught us how to go about our lives. This aspect had a tremendous impact on my life. Overall my experience at KMC was very pleasant with occasional worries. I topped my college and secured 6th position in the University exams with all the ECA going on simultaneously. So you see more than the college it is about you; what you do and how you do things make an impact on your life rather than the institutions. the institutions play a role in molding you thought process but ultimately it is you who decides what course you tread on. Pros: good results both academically and ECA wise campus college good reputation of the college good infrastructure awesome college life cons: few hostel seats cut-offs for admissions are very high very much politically charged atmosphere I hope you find my review helpful. Cheers.
