      College Infrastructure

I am proud to be a student of Kodagu Institute of medical college established in Karnataka and one of the best growing medical colleges in Karnataka. It has a great infrastructure. There is a large anatomy dissection hall with 5 cadavers. One cadaver is allotted to 30 students. There is a well maintained and specific lab for all first year subjects. There is a large library with enough books to read. It is located in one of best places in Karnataka i.e Madikeri, which is called Scotland of India

      Academics

Being one of the new medical colleges in the state, the academics is up to the mark. You'll find stiff competition among your batchmates which will actually push you to improve your ownself. Seniors are very supportive and are always ready to clear your doubts. However, the lectures can be a bit monotonous with many teachers simply reading out from the PPT with no intention to make the topics interesting (again a common trait in every medical college in the country) .

      Placements

Placements in MBBS do not exist as such, however there is one year of compulsory internship under different postings in the hospital once your course is over. The stipend offered is Rs.30,000 per month. It is a rotation-based internship where students work under different departments for different months.

      Value for Money

I have entered the college through GM seat , so it cost me around 1 lakh excluding some other personal expenses. If you are from any other category, scholarship is also available. Though the total money looks more , but compared to some private colleges, it's cheap.

      Campus Life

Our campus is situated on a hill top which has one of the best views in the city. Our campus contains 7 buildings including the hostels. There is a canteen also. There are inter batch competitions conducted by the school Union and the students are responsible for conducting such function with the permission of college. So many events are conducted in the college ever year. This includes the annual intercollegeate fest, annual sports meet, farewell, ganeshotsava, magazine release, dasara programs.

      Others

The overall experience is very good

      Placements

There are students taking drop to attain PG seats. But, the most important thing is that our seniors have got into army. You will have to prepare for PG seats by yourself as it is a professional course.

      Value for Money

I am satisfied with this college as it has all the basic requirements. It is good in academics, its facilities as well as placements. So, i feel whatever the money my parents have invested, its really worth it.

      Campus Life

Talking about the campus life, it is pretty good. There are gyms, play ground for sports and of course a reading room so that you can have your own book and read over there.Location is safer and it gives very good environment for study. But city is too far, so it might be difficult to go frequently to get basic comodities.
