Our college, Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Our classrooms are equipped with projectors and white boards. Well maintained. Student dorms are clean and the food provided is hygienic.
I am studying my II MBBS currently. Quality of teaching in here is good and the curriculum is updated according the the university guidelines. However, students are not spoon-fed to excel in academics as done in any other private institutions.
Most of the students prepare for their PG examinations after their internship rather than getting into a placement. However, a few of our seniors have been selected into army corps after their MBBS course.
In the beginning, the KEA allotment fee cost us 59k while the college fee was about 17k. However, student dorm fees are additional.
Located near the town but away from the hospital. So, students must travel to hospital and to campus during their medical postings via buses provided. Many activities like clean campus drive and awareness camps are organised along with a few cultural programs are organised.
