Our college, Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences has all the necessary infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Our classrooms are equipped with projectors and white boards. Well maintained. Student dorms are clean and the food provided is hygienic.
I am studying my II MBBS currently. Quality of teaching in here is good and the curriculum is updated according the the university guidelines. However, students are not spoon-fed to excel in academics as done in any other private institutions.
Most of the students prepare for their PG examinations after their internship rather than getting into a placement. However, a few of our seniors have been selected into army corps after their MBBS course.
In the beginning, the KEA allotment fee cost us 59k while the college fee was about 17k. However, student dorm fees are additional.
Located near the town but away from the hospital. So, students must travel to hospital and to campus during their medical postings via buses provided. Many activities like clean campus drive and awareness camps are organised along with a few cultural programs are organised.
Hello Aspirant,
I hope you are doing well.
The college has a Gym facility for the students. The college has a library facility for all students. The college has sports facilities for all students. Extracurricular activities are also valued at this institution. Football, badminton, volleyball, and kabaddi are some of the sports that are played here. Aside from that, any cultural event includes skits, songs, and dance rehearsals. The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.
I hope this helps.
Good Luck
Hello,
You forgot to mention the college name in your question for me to explain further. But as I see in your tag it is Kodagu Institute of Medical Sciences (KIMS).

Hope this helps!!
Adithya, you haven't mentioned the Category you belong to. Nevertheless, in 2019 under State Quota, the cut offs for Kodagu Institute of Health Sciences under various Categories have been as follows:
General Category:454
OBC:426
SC: 352
ST: 432
Now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. So for a seat in this College in 2020, you will need to score atleast 50 marks more than those mentioned against your Category. With NEET being postponed for more than 4 months, Candidates would have been preparing well and so the Cut offs might increase. And due to the Pandemic, Candidates might also opt for Colleges that are nearby which also might see a rise in the cut offs. And if you are preparing for NEET, you may as well try our NEET Knockout package: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-neet-may/ . And because you have 40 more days to prepare for NEET, you may as well use this opportunity.
