Hii,
With a cut-off of 183.5, your chances of securing admission into the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) branch at Kongu Engineering College (KEC) will depend on the year’s competition and the category you belong to. In Tamil Nadu engineering counselling, the cut-off trends vary every year based on the number of applicants and their scores. For KEC, CSE is one of the most in-demand branches, so the cut-off tends to be relatively high. If you belong to the general category, your cut-off is around the borderline for getting CSE in the first round, but you may stand a better chance in the second or third round of counselling. If you are from a reserved category, your chances increase. My suggestion is to keep KEC CSE as your priority choice but also list a few backup colleges where the cut-off is slightly lower. This way, you won’t miss out on securing a seat if competition is high. Also, check last year’s cut-off data for your community, as it gives you a better idea.
Wishing you all the best for your admission process,
A Bachelor's degree of minimum 3 years duration.
Mathematics as a subject at the 10+2 level or at the graduate level.
A minimum of 50% marks in the qualifying degree examination (45% for reserved categories).
Admission is based on the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) score.
The selection process may include Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) .
The tuition fees for the MCA course are approximately rs 35,000 for the entire 2-year course.
KEC offers management quota seats for the MCA program.
The eligibility remains the same as regular admission, but the fees for management quota are typically higher.
The management quota fees for similar courses (like B.E/B.Tech) are around rs 1,25,000 per year. The MCA management quota fees are expected to be in a similar range.
You will need to apply online through the KEC official website or directly contact the admissions office for details on the management quota application procedure.
Dear Student,
Numerous employment options are made available to college seniors. In order to guarantee that students have access to sufficient employment options, the college set up a placement cell in 1998. The placement cell of Kongu Engineering College keeps in touch with numerous businesses and invites them to hire students. It oversees all of the placement-related operations at KEC Erode. The placement cell offers technical training to students in order to help them develop their soft skills. The placement also arranges online assessments for pupils to enhance verbal, logical, and quantitative aptitude. The placement cell also provides internship possibilities to non-final year students in addition to placements. Internships expose students to corporate work environments and cultures, which ultimately improves their chances of being hired for a position in the fourth year.
Around 220 organisations participated in placements, according to the official Kongu Engineering College placement report 2019–20. The participating businesses submitted a total of 1325 offerings. As many as 1043 students were placed in KEC Erode's placements for 2019–20.
