    College Infrastructure

The campus is beautiful. The buildings are well-maintained and hygienic. This college is accessible and inclusive due to the availability of ramps and lifts. Free WiFi is available but is not always reliable. Your phone's own data works in almost all spots of the campus but sadly, not everywhere. The library is equipped with a user-friendly data filing system which makes it easy for the users to find the books they need. We also have photocopying spots and a book store (also stationery).

    Academics

I am studying BA English Hons and the faculty is amazing. The professors are always there to help you even beyond academics. The syllabus curated by the University of Delhi is holistic, following a proper order which makes it comprehensive. The whole faculty of the English Department is highly qualified and the lectures are always interesting. The level of pedagogy available here transforms a student into an intellectual and a scholar, ready for the real world.

    Placements

We have a Placement Cell. I would say the placements are pretty good though it all depends on what course you are pursuing. BA Economics, Commerce, Statistics, and Mathematics usually rake in the most placement offers while English, BA Programme, Psychology, and Journalism also do pretty good. The highest salary package for the year 2019-2020 was 30 LPA with the average package being 9.4 LPA. I haven't yet been evaluated for any placements so I don't have experience in the evaluation process.

    Value for Money

Since it is a government-affiliated university, the annual fee is not that high. During offline classes, the annual fee was around Rs. 16,000 while after the outbreak of COVID-19, online classes happened and the fee was reduced to somewhere around Rs. 7000. While there are people in the college who cannot afford even Rs. 7000 annually, I believe my financial status was not inconvenienced by this much money. Given the opportunities that this college offered me, I believe it was value-for-money.

    Campus Life

The college is always buzzing with activity. Every corner has some event going on. All the students grab at these opportunities to learn. The societies offer exposure but the dynamics can become toxic. Life sometimes becomes overwhelming and hard to balance. You feel competitive. The seniors are always polite to freshers, the professors are supportive, and the support staff is helpful. LSR is near Moolchand metro station. The back-park region is not entirely safe (few cases of flashers) but ok.

    Full of learning!

    College Infrastructure

As much as we have heard from are seniors and professors, the gardens are quite refreshing. Whereas the wi fi doesn't work very well. There are two buildings, it has a lift too. Birds makes the vicinity more joyful.

    Academics

The college is known for it's academic excellence. Big names like Gita Gopinathan, Gauri Khan, Tina Dabi are some of the famous alumnus. The place will ignite the feminist and humanist in you. Professors regularly take classes. At times certain professors can be disappointing.

    Placements

The college has more than average placement outcomes. Placement and Internship cell is at your service. They provide you with the information regarding all the internships. Your email will be filled with e-mails of internships.

    Value for Money

It is for sure value for money. The fees is 16000/ year.

    Campus Life

    Don't expect much.

    Others

This esteemed institution is known for it's academic excellence. All thanks to the warm and experienced faculty. Due to the pandemic, current first yearers have not experienced college's vicinity and hence commenting on college infrastructure wouldn't be right.

    College Infrastructure

Not been to college yet. So can't comment much. But great emphasis is laid on campus cleanliness and hygiene. Campus is quite eco friendly and it has adopted stray dogs too suggesting it supports animal welfare!! Campus has a big library which is resourceful when it comes to writing research papers. Campus is spacious and attractive.

    Academics

I am studying literature, the quality of teaching here is par excellence, which is clearly reflected from the strong alumni network and the successful graduates which colleges produces. Professors are really understanding and enthusiastic and talking about myself they have given me a new approach towards problem solving. Curriculum is to the mark and apart from this you are engaged in extra readings which helps you get better understanding of the texts and eventually makes research work easier!!

    Placements

Placements are worth doing. It gives you a new exposure to work with renowned institutions and organisations and enhances your personality and professional skills, which further counts to build on a strong profile for you. Apart from this there is a thing called "lsr magic", almost every graduate here gets a good placement for a desired pay-scale.

    Value for Money

Since its a government affiliated college, fees are not that high and the education we get worth more than what we pay.

    Campus Life

Not been to college yet, can say much. But we have different cells and societies through which students can engage in the activities they like. Teachers are supportive and encouraging at the same time. Also it provides a women friendly environment and trust me this institution will help you figure out your direction in life.

Transformative experience. All credits to the students.

    College Infrastructure

Infrastructure is upto the mark in most aspects. The labs could use an upgrade to latest systems and software. Other than that very clean campus, accessible for persons with disability, library facilities upto the mark, classrooms are good, two buildings, amphitheatre, auditorium, lawns, canteen etc. Hostel facilities however need a severe upgrade. Not upto the mark in terms of capacity or quality. The college administration is also uncooperative.

    Academics

Academically intensive and upto the mark. Academics are given equal importance and quality of faculty is good in most departments. There is scope for better time allocation so that students interested in extra curriculars do not have to suffer on the academic front.

    Placements

Placement Cell is hard working and provides support to students. There is a need to increase accessibility for students and also diversity in profiles offered. Other than that there is no dearth of opportunities on campus.

    Value for Money

Affordable fees, under 20,000 per year without hostel. Hostel fees around 6-7k per month. Options for freeships and scholarships available for students who need them. The entire experience is worth the money.

    Campus Life

Campus Life is good in terms of opportunities and exposure to diverse people and experiences. Peaceful and conducive environment. However, sharp divides of accessibility exist among students. The environment can get overly competitive and pressurising at times. Improvement on these issues is imperative. The college administration is also severely uncooperative of the students.

    Others

Transformative experience for me. All credits to the students of LSR.

    College Infrastructure

Our college has a beautiful infrastructure and it is filled with an enormous amount of greenery. It has all varieties of facilities. It has a sitting area in the garden with shade where you can study and hang out with friends. It has a volleyball court, basketball court, indoor games, etc. It has a big library with a great range of diversity of books.

    Academics

I am pursuing Maths Hons. course from this college. The mathematics department of the college is brilliant. Ours is a batch of 55 students and teachers focus on every student without any partiality. The teachers provide great insight into the concepts of the subject.

    Placements

The college has quite a good reputation regarding the placements after graduation. Many of my seniors have told about the variety and level of reputation of companies that come here for the placement procedure.

    Value for Money

The annual cost of my course is around Rs. 18,000 per year. The college also provides scholarships and freeships to some selected students. Overall, it is totally worth it to invest money in this course in the college.

    Campus Life

So far, we first years have not seen the campus life yet, but I can imagine how fabulous the campus life must be here. I once visited the college and came to know that there are many pet dogs inside the campus under the Campus care program who are willing to share the love with every one of us.

    Others

    College Infrastructure

The hostel is worth the money, the benefit of being a hostel resident is that of having a safe company of your friends always so as to help you whenever you're in need. Talking about the food provided, it is satisfactory and condition of the hostel is okay too!

    Academics

The teachers were over qualified with amazing knowledge level. The teaching quality is brilliant. Teacher takes every lecture seriously and even tutorials too. Course curriculum is totally relevant. Who actually wants to purse economics, should go for it.

    Placements

The average package for LSR students tends to be over 5 Lacs p.a. , with some of the top recruiters offering over 15 Lacs p.a. as well. The placement process is relatively streamlined and is easy to enroll yourself into. Some of the top recruiting companies, especially ones that aren't looking for specific course requirements, are McKenzie, Bane, Accenture. Some that are specifically looking for Eng (H) and related courses are Publicizes etc.

My experience so far in this college has been good.

    College Infrastructure

The college infrastructure is beautiful and well equipped. The food is extremely tasty and hygienic. I love sitting and reading in the reference library. The college has an ATM and stationery shop which has made students life a lot better.

    Academics

I'm a second year psychology Hons student at LSR. The teachers are good and have knowledge about their subject. Our curriculum is appropriately designed and includes recent developments. For psychology practicals, labs are there with full facilities.

    Placements

I'm still in second year, but I've seen my seniors placed in excellent organisations with appreciable salary offers. The college is supportive and always encourage their students. The placement processes are easy, and students get good guidance from teachers.

    Campus Life

Crowd of lsr is suing, you will get a diversity of students. Every student here is aware. The best feature is our cafeteria and common room. The cafe is big with extremely tasty food and common room provides mattresses to sleep. The college is in South Delhi, so the area is nice. LSR made me an empowered, educated and fearless women I am to

    College Infrastructure

Ohh! LSR offers one of the best infrastructure and ambience for its students to thrive. The most important part is majority of it was easily accessible to students of all departments. The campus is green, clean, quiet and vibrant. NCC and NSO could have had better offices. There were AV rooms, smart classrooms, Conference rooms, reading rooms beside the library.

    Academics

Quality of teaching was superb. However, curriculum is one that DU sets. I can definitely say we had relevant learning through out. Making us job ready is a very tough question to answer. Since entire country has miniscule institutes that can make us job ready specifically. But generally speaking if you be here once you will carry an edge wherever you go afterwards.

    Placements

My department didnt didn't have many options for us to try. Or may be I didnt precisley know what I wanted to pursue. But my negligence is no substance against those who benefited from the guidance provided in the college.

    Others

It was more than I could have asked. Had immense exposure. Honed my academics, personality, extra-curriculars. LSR offers quality and discipline.

For BA in Political Science, CUET subject combinations that should be considered as a must:

Language Test: Choose one language subject, like English, as LSR as most colleges and universities offering similar courses demand a score in language proficiency.

    Domain-specific to the subject:

    • Pol. Science: If it is offered in CUET, then this has to be your first preference domain-specific subject as this course shares the same area of specialization that you wish to pursue.
