The college has all the necessary infrastructure ranging from smart boards, free wifi ( connectivity is poor except in reference hall ) The living space is very hygienic, neat and tidy. The college cafe provides tasty and hygienic food.
I'm pursuing BA Honours Political Science, and I find both quality as well as average teaching methods. Since my major is pretty a subjective field, where one can't find objectivity in everything precisely, the tutor influence us a lot, and thus they play an important role which the institution must handle well. My curriculum is updated and find all the recent developments in my field. Well, my subject is not job oriented but research orientated. But my college offers options to get placed.
Well, my college is pretty active in placements, with an active placement cell, where you can find some quality placements. I'm not aware of the percentage of students getting placed because I'm a first year student learning about my college at my pace. The highest salary package was around 45 lakhs pa, last year offered to an Economics Honours graduate. The average salary is around 5-6 lakhs pa, I guess. Not aware of the placement process because I'm a first year student.
I spend around 15.5k per annum for my course. Since I'm from Kerala I've to look for accommodation which cost around a lakh per annum. So basically the total cost is around 1.30 lakhs at minimum and I don't think the college is worth for the effort and money.
Since I'm a first year student, I didn't attend my college physically due to the covid pandemic. I've been attending online class for 2 months, so I'm unaware of the campus life, fest etc. But the college is providing the best they could amidst the pandemic. Well I feel insecure among students where some of them give a vibe where I feel uncomfortable to be with them. Well there are people with whom I'm comfortable as well.
Well, being at LSR is a rollercoaster ride. The college is reputed, and I really like some faculties. Most of the teachers are friendly and comfortable. The campus has around 9 dogs, which is the most exciting part, and I'm longing to be on campus physically.
I am a current student in lsr. Lsr is at its best in every sides. It give all the necessary infrastructure facilities and equipment to all students. Lsr have best classrooms libraries etc. Thei campus is well maintained.
I am a political science student so updated informations are tje core of my syllabus. Professors provide all the necessary informations to us and the teach us very well. Now we all have online classes. It create issues. But our professors try to solve these issues as they can. But they dont provide access of digital Library yet.
We have placement cell. They provide placement oportunities to us through mail. Tje conducted orientation. Lsr provide wide range of oportunities to their students. And they alao provide internship oportunities to ua.
Per year around 16,000 only for course
We dont even saw... Our collage because of corona issues
I have heard that the infrastructure is pretty good and even during the online classes the administration is providing laptops and data packs to the needy and conducting surveys and checking mental health of people from time to time. All the reasources are adequately used.
The top students from all over the country have gathered with top educators. So we definitely do get the best education we can receive through online mode. However the cooperation of teachers is not that much, some teachers become rude when asked for help.
Placements are good. Good companies do come by and many internship opportunities are presented. The history is all good however I personally had a bit of a problem with the company i was applying for but the placement cell was pretty active and solved it.
My course as a foreign student costed a lot more than an average indian student which is a very great disadvantage for me. It costed almost 68+. The admin is not good and i cannot know the actual situation in offline classes since classes are going on online only.
It is full of greenery on all sides and we are also allowed into lawns. It is well kept, watered regularly and well maintained and we also have a cafe along with hangout spots. It is really nice.
The college has excellent infrastructural facilities of all kinds. The college has an auditorium with seats for around 700 people with advanced lighting and sound system. In addition, the college has air-conditioned seminar rooms. The college library is well equipped and well maintained with over one lakes books. The classrooms are well maintained. The college has its a bookstore. The college Cafe provides hygienic food, drinks and beverages. The college gardens is eco-friendly and green.
I am pursuing BA history honours here at LSR because it's my favourite subject and I enjoy studying it. The faculty of history here is one of the best in our country. Along with regular lectures we also have tutorial classes with the professors in small groups to make sure of an active interaction and strong between the students and professors. I think whatever we are taught here is up to date and professors regularly share information and articles about recent developments in the field.
The college has a placement cell which serves as an interface between the students and the recruiters. The placement cell has successfully hosted a wide range of companies for placements and internships. The average package offered stands at ₹7.5 LPA. Also one of the students has received the highest package in the entire Delhi University of around ₹38 lakes.
My course cost is around 16k per year and I think it's totally worth it because the quality of education that is provided here is much more than the cost.
The college has many societies for different co-curricular activities which the students can join and work together with their fellow mates. In the whole process one can learn many things and can get amazing working experience where one can learn about many values and also helps to teach us how to work together as a team.
Overall,LSR is all I ever wanted to get to experience in my college life and also looking forward to learn and unlearn many new things and to experience all that LSR has got in store for us.
Infrastructure is perfect as it has all the facilities. It is convenient for the pwd students also and the campus is safe and secure. Also we do have all the facilities which a student needs in her college.
Everyone knows this so umm anyways - academics is wonderful and I think this is one of the dream college for many people. We have a wonderful faculty also devariya workshops with regard to academics are conducted
Coming from pol sci dept I don't know much about placements but I have seen like several big firms come and hire the students from LSR. Several students apply for placements and like they do get the placements..
Cost for pol sci is 12910 rs that is pretty affordable when it comes to such great college which has awesome faculty.
College campus is something I'm in love with. And we do have several societies which we can join to brush up our skills and talent in the same.
LSR is awesome!!
Yes our college has a good infrastructure and all facilities. A good "cafe" (it's canteen but we don't call it canteen it's CAFE) good food fair price. But I think it should be extended depending on the crowd there!! Wifi only in the old building. Good lawns and good Library
My field is Political Science. One of the best department. But you should have the time management ability to be a part of different society there. There are talks by various personalities and it will give you better opportunities.
We have a placement cell and also there are opportunities to be a part of internship group where you will get all the updates on internships which add up to your CV. Being in LSR it gives you an exposure.
15k. Normally for per year. There are various scholarships free ships available.
There are various societies were a student can participate in LSR. But to survive in LSR you should have a good peer group. Because you will have an hectic schedule there and various deadlines infront of you. In your first gear you wil be very confused and will be in a dilema but at the end you will find the magic of LSR it's not in the college it's in you and your peer group. You are in a space where you can express your self as you are
The college is good with well-maintained infrastructure and wi-fi facility. The college consists of the media lab, cafe, Nescafe, mother dairy and various other food stalls. Apart from that, the college is well-maintained with good hostel facility but no of seats are less.
B.A Hons. Journalism, the quality of teaching is good with good professors and practical activities. The curriculum is updated and includes all the recent developments.Well, the overall view of the department is satisfactory but not of that level which makes me job-ready.
The placement is good with an annual package of 7LPA. the college also provides various internships with Tier-1 companies and the placement process even in digital mode is flexible and satisfactory. The magic of LSR makes you empowered to face any interview.
Lady Shri Ram is one of the best colleges in India with respect to infrastructure, academics , facilities and most importantly the students. The kind of magic and passion that the college atmosphere and its staff gives you cannot be put in words. Our college brings out the best in us. Its not just the academics that makes LSR the best but the kind of exposure it gives make you a person with better perspective.
I am pursuing a degree in Economics Hons. Before joining in LSR I have joined in another college and I can say the syllabus is totally different for the same course. And the syllabus is tough obviously but day by day it makes us more sharp.
So many internships is coming our way everyday. Everyone can find one that is suitable for their potential. I am doing my first year only but also I can find numerous opportunities. And many internships are paid and even the unpaid ones do offer other perks.
Yes that is one of the main reason for joining LSR. My annual fees is 15,800. And I can say it totally worth it . The college itself provides freeship scholarships to its students also along with other perks .
Since my classes are online I haven't experienced much of a campus life. But we even had an virtual campus tour and our seniors took an effort to talk to us about the magic of LSR and how amazing campus life was.
Yes, personally I am well satisfied with the infrastructure, facilities and equipment provided by my college. I am a hosteler, so I am living inside the compound of the college. I feel more relaxed with the cool greenery of the college and surroundings. Food provided by the hostel is one of the most hygenic one.
I am a political science honours student. Apart from the course, for me studying or education is meant for the learning process. The research and field works provided by my department makes me analyse society more efficiently. I will give 10 out of 10 for the quality of teaching. Curriculum has to be changed.
Basically I have no idea about this. Because I am not a person who has an interest in placement related things and all. So, I can't answer these questions without having proper knowledge on the same. But I believe that placement offers provide by the college.
I have to pay an amount of twelve thousand per year for the course. Yes I feel I am getting the worth of my money. Faculties their classes as well as the internal assignment are outstanding. I am really enjoying the course.
First of all, campus itself is magic.. I haven't experienced any bad things from my campus life. There are a lot of societies like dance, drama debating and Nss Ncc Nso. All these help you to flourish your inner abilities. Teachers are so nice to engage and when we talk about students it's up to that particular person. Overall campus is safe in every sense
College infrastructure is really good. And in comparison with other DU colleges LSR is having really amazing infrastructure facilities. The college have an amazing library, and also provides various opportunities in extra curricular activities as well.
I'm doing Journalism Honours from LSR. The quality of teaching and the faculty is really good. And have really qualified professors. The curriculum is updated and is up-to-date. I'm interested in the field of Journalism and Mass communication and I can be sure that LSR will surely help me achieve my dreams.
Placements are not that great compared to other facilities provided. But the college is having really good exchange programs and conducts many workshops. Which helps a lot in studies. Apart from this the college also offers many internship opportunities.
Yes, the college is performing only average in that. Beacuse the fees paid is comparatively high but yet the facilities are good.
Campus life is amazing in LSR. The college society overall is good and is very safe. The area itself is safe for women. And is really close to metro stations,so there is no issues with traveling facilities.
If you’re a PCM student in 12th and want to pursue Psychology at Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) through CUET, you need to focus on the subjects accepted for BA (Hons) Psychology admission. LSR generally considers English (compulsory) and any two other domain subjects from CUET. Since you’re PCM, you can choose Maths, Physics, or Chemistry along with English. There isn’t a strict need for Biology in CUET for Psychology at LSR. So prepare well for English + 2 best PCM subjects, as your CUET score in these will decide your admission chances.
Yes, Lady Shri Ram College, Delhi University, offers admissions under the Sports Quota (ECA/Sports Supernumerary Seats). However, selection is not just based on certificates, you need to clear:
1. Sports Trials (practical performance test),
2. Submit Zonal/National-level certificates (recent years preferred),
3. Shortlisting depends on DU’s centralised sports quota merit list.
Competition is tough, but with good performance in trials and strong certificates, you have a fair chance.
While Lady Shri Ram (LSR) College, like most colleges in Delhi University, primarily uses English as the medium of instruction, it's possible to take your course in Hindi if you choose a Hindi language course or if your professor allows it. However, the primary language of instruction and course materials is generally English.
For most courses at LSR, the medium of instruction is English.
If you are pursuing a BA (Hons) in Hindi, then you will naturally be studying in Hindi.
Some professors may use both English and Hindi, especially in courses with a diverse student body, but course materials are usually provided in English.
You can generally write your exams in Hindi even if the course is taught in English, but it's advisable to check the specific guidelines for your course and college.
If you are interested in Hindi as a subject, you can choose Hindi as one of your subjects in the CUET exam and potentially pursue a BA (Hons) in Hindi at LSR.
Your admission will be based on your performance in the CUET exam and other eligibility criteria, and the medium of instruction in your previous classes (like 12th) is not a barrier for admission.
