LSR has basic infrastructure like projectors, microphones, WiFi and TVs. Sanitary products are also provided but are not worth mentioning as they're mostly never restocked. LSR is known for being quite environmental friendly, hence no ACs in classrooms. The microphones from the Old Building are quite poorly maintained. The living spaces are clean, students lie around on the floors and grasses all the time and the food from the cafes are also hygienic.
I am currently studying Literature. LSR has a great faculty when it comes to English; the professors inspire me so much. I believe that we need literature for our daily lives. Literature prepares us and teaches us about necessary qualities like empathy and creativity which are needed not only in jobs but also in every day life so I think it does train us to be job-ready.
I am a part of the Placement Cell but I'm not very sure as to the percentage of students being placed. I think a lot of opportunities are provided to the Economics and B.Com students. English students do get placed sometimes but opportunities don't come very often for Creative Writing or Editing as much as opportunities for Marketing does. I don't know much about the salary as I've never applied or been placed.
My course costs Rs 16390 per year. I do feel I get my money's worth as most of the lectures and the discussions I've had with the English professors have been very eye opening and thought provoking. English professors can be your friends or your mothers, according to your needs. They do know A LOT of wise things too. I've learned a lot from this course.
LSR's college campus is quite nice for a South college. There are lots of greens and flowers, which I personally love. The front yard and the back yards are delights both during summers and winters. Old Building has really bad signals so cellphones don't play much of a role there. Transferring from Old Building to New can be tiring. Securities are genuinely strict in LSR as compared to many other colleges so I believe it's safe. The red walls do play their part in protecting the people inside.
In terms of infrastructure and facilities, I think basic sanitary products in case of emergencies should always be available in the college especially since it's an all girls college. Compulsory NSS or NCC options for first years can distract you a bit from academics and I'm not very fond of it. But I do love my course, personally, so I'm quite contented and happy with how college life is.
Yes the college has all the necessary facilities and equipments for different types of activities. The college has a library which which provides the students with all the necessary references and past year question banks. It also provides the students with WiFi within the college premises. The college also provides equipments and practice venues for those interested in sports and dance and also in the fields of art and music. The campus is swept everyday and the lawns are kept fresh and clean.
I am currently pursuing economic honours. My classmates and I are quite satisfied with our lectures. We've been taught in a more practical manner as compared to school level and we've found that what we've been taught has become more applicable to our daily lives and the events happening around us everyday.
The placement quality has been satisfactory and a lot of students get placements each year. Last year, a some seniors from the BSc Mathematics department got selected to join McKenzie. The placement processes have always been supportive for each of the students' growth.
The course costs around 15000 per year and is quite a reasonable amount.
I've become more active ever since I've attended college.I love the way college life has exposed me to participating in all kinds of activities and meeting all kinds of people.Every department has its own teams excluding societies, who handle the different events that each department is involved in.Campus life is quite peaceful with no additional pressures from seniors or teachers. However the location tend to be quite risky as there have been a few small cases over the years.
The college has a great infrastructure. There is free wifi, projectors in all the classrooms. Well equipped labs. The cafe is also very nice. Everything is great about infrastructure at LSR. There are separate tut rooms as well.
I studied Maths there. All the teachers are amazing. They are supportive too. The way of teaching is great. It is not like other colleges where teachers themselves dont wanna take classes. The curriculum is updated.
The quality of placements is also great. All the big companies like McKinsey, KPMG, EY, Towers Watson come for placements. Mostly the placements are from commerce and economics departments. But yes there are placements in other depts as well.
The cost is too minimal. At my time it was 18k per year. I do feel that I was getting money's worth. There is nothing to say about value for money. In today's time this fees is nothing as compared to the money charged by other institutes.
The campus life is also great. The college is situated in Kailash colony. It is close by to two metro stations. The campus also has a hostel, gymnasium, table tennis court, volleyball court etc. There are ample facilities.
LSR has one of the best infrastructures in whole DU. The campus has a two buildings surrounded by a lot of greenery. The greenery soothes the heart when we feel distressed. The classrooms are well equipped with projectors and boards that help in efficient learning and teaching.
The faculty members have the best knowledge to enlighten students. Teachers make the concepts clear from the scratch and then move on further to explain higher topics. Besides to boost the learning library is there which has ample of books for references
Since I am in first year, I don't know much about placements but LSR brings out the best job opportunities. On talking to seniors I found that college tries best to place all of its batch in a particular year.
You will never regret your decision if you become a part of this college
Best thing about lsr is its campus life
The college offers wifi facility in the old building. There is availability of lift as well as ramps to make LSR an inclusive space. The living spaces are well maintained and cleanliness and hygiencr are well taken care of.
The professors are well experienced and teach very well. They are always ready to help the students with any kind of help they need whether academic or otherwise. The college also offers a great scope to participate in extra curricular and offers so many socities and options to choose from.
The quality of placements has been pretty well. Ye highest package is of around 37-38 lakhs which is a great amount for an undergraduate which was bagged by a student from economics hons. It is true that competition is tough within the college itself but still placements are at a good average.
The college is a Central Government college and hence, the fee charged is very very nominal. The college also offers various scholarship programmes to help students coming from a family with income levels below a certain level.
Though the college doesn't like within the main DU campus , it offers great surroundings within itself. The college campus if full of flowers and greenery is very well maintained. The college also offers facility of Reference section /library to students.
My college has very good infrastructure, facilities and equipment. Classrooms are well equipped with projectors, mic, white boards and dusters. Desks are very comfortable and spacious. Wi-Fi is there. Food is very hygienic.
My college makes me Job ready by taking presentations regularly that we prepare. It broadens our thinking outside the box. Various discussions of the union budget etc also happen time to time. Teachers are well experienced.
Almost all who sat for placements were placed. Highest package has not been decided as of right now because placements are still going on. Process is not that pleasant as there is a lot of competition.
My course cost 20000 p.a.
It is engaging.
My college life has been what has shaped and nurtured me.
Hello,
If you are an MPC candidate and wish to join LSR for a BA in Political Science, then you should select your CUET subjects wisely, knowing the requirements of this college.
For BA in Political Science, CUET subject combinations that should be considered as a must:
General Test (if required): It is a common part of almost all humanities courses.
Language Test: Choose one language subject, like English, as LSR as most colleges and universities offering similar courses demand a score in language proficiency.
Domain-specific to the subject:
Please check the CUET guidelines and LSR prospectus for specific requirements or any updates on preferred subject combinations.

Yes, you do need to give the CUET (Common University Entrance Test) exam to get into Lady Shri Ram College for Women (LSR) in New Delhi for a Bachelor's degree in Psychology.
The University of Delhi (DU), under which LSR falls, has mandated CUET for admissions to all undergraduate programs since the 2023 academic year. This includes B.A. (Hons.) Psychology at LSR.
You need to register for the CUET exam online at the official CUET website.
During registration, choose the relevant subjects for B.A. (Hons.) Psychology at LSR. It might involve subjects like Psychology, English, and a general test.
The specific subjects and their weightage might change year-to-year, so refer to the official LSR website or the latest CUET information booklet for the most up-to-date details.
Take the CUET exam on the scheduled date. After the CUET results are declared, you need to fill out the separate application form for Lady Shri Ram College (LSR) through the Delhi University portal.
During the application process, you need to select LSR and your preferred program (B.A. Hons. Psychology) based on your CUET score and other eligibility criteria set by LSR.
