Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore UG Admission Eligibility

Maharaja Institute of Technology offers admission under various undergraduate programs. The candidate should have the following. 

• Candidates should have passed their PUC / 10+2 with English as one of the languages and secure at least 45% marks. (40% for SC, ST, CAT-1, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B categories). 
• Applicants should obtain a qualifying rank in either the CET or COMEDK entrance exam. 
• Admissions are based on the Government of Karnataka and AICTE standards. 

Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore PG Admission

To apply for admission into Maharaja Institute of Technology postgraduation students are required to follow the KEA eligibility norms and guidelines. For the admission process eligibility is as per the following. 

• The applicant must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in BBM, B.Com, B.Sc, BA, and BE with a passing mark of 50% for the general category and 45% in SC/ST; and ranking in either PGCET/ KMAT/ CMAT required. 
• From the total seats available, 50% is occupied through PGCET by KEA and 50% through Management.
• For students applying for admissions in M.Tech the minimum percentage required to be eligible is 50% for GM and 45% in the case of SC/ST, and to meet the requirements in either PGCET/GATE is mandatory.   
• Out of the total available seats, 80% are occupied through Karnataka Examination Authority and 20% through Management. 

Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore Admission Procedure

The admission process into Maharaja Institute of Technology, Mysore. The candidate needs to visit the official website of the university and follow the steps to enrol for admission. 

• The applicant visiting the official website of the university will be displayed an admission form under the “HOME” category.
• The candidate is required to fill up the form with the correct details and click on submit. 
• The page will be redirected to the application form the candidate is required to fill in all details mentioned correctly.  
• Next, the student will be given an option to select a course from the drop-down box. 
• KEA seats will be allotted to consoled college students.
• Students are required to download the admission form online.
• Next, students will have to submit an allotment letter with relevant documents to the accounts department. 
• Here, the accounts department will check the allotment letter of the students and issue the MIT Mysore admission application form upon receiving the application fee. 
• The application form will be received by the admission department. 
• The admission department will then verify the application form and verify the documents such as SSLC marks card, PUC marks, transfer letter, caste, and income certificate (if applicable)
• The application form will be submitted to the Registrar/ AO/ Principle for approval.
• The approved application documents will be received by the accounts department where the fee must be collected. 
• Once the fee has been paid a receipt will be submitted to the admission department along with all the accompanying documents. 
• An acknowledgement receipt of documents must be issued to the student. 
•  Students must add a copy of their recently clicked photograph, and check if all the details provided by them are entered correctly into the system by attesting their signature 
• The institute will issue an identity/ library card to the student.

Students need to submit the relevant documents to the university for the verification process for admission. 

• An application form duly filled.  
• Identification and address proof (Aadhaar card / PAN card / Voters ID / Valid Passport).
• Original 10th standard passed mark sheet. 
• Original higher secondary passed mark sheet (10+2).
• Transfer Certificate from previous school, If applicable.
• Candidates applying under the reservation category will be required to submit a community certificate.
