Note- 50% of total admissions will be made through the BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination), Patna, Bihar, while the remaining 50% will be made from the management quota.
It is mandatory that candidates have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in any field with a minimum of 50% marks. Applicants are often tested on the basis of state-level entrance examinations or the BPTPIA (Bihar Private Technical & Professional Institutions Association) entrance exam.

MIT Purnea provides a 4-year B.Tech programme in each of the following five branches: Civil, Mechanical, Computer Science, Electrical, and Electronics & Communication Engineering. Besides, it has the postgraduate programmes MBA and MCA, and the Diploma in Engineering courses too.
The applicants need to have done 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the main subjects; that is the basic requirement. The general category students have to secure a minimum of 50% marks in total, while the students from the reserved categories will get a relaxation as per the norms of the Bihar government.
The college mainly takes the results of the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination (BCECE) and JEE Main into consideration. Candidates selected for the UGEAC (Undergraduate Engineering Admission Counselling) will be able to join the allotment of seats process.
