As one of the foundational branches of engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering plays a pivotal role in shaping innovations across diverse domains such as energy systems, power systems, automation, and digital technology.
Our undergraduate programme offers a comprehensive education that blends theoretical knowledge with hands-on experience. Students gain a strong foundation in key areas such as circuits, digital electronics, microprocessors, control systems, power systems, and renewable energy technologies. Additionally, the curriculum integrates emerging fields such as Electric Vehicles, battery technologies, Energy storage and management, the key components of the global energy transition.
The department promotes an interdisciplinary approach, combining principles of electrical, electronics, control and automation engineering. Through system-level projects and well-equipped laboratories, students design and develop intelligent, sustainable systems capable of powering smart cities, AI applications, electric vehicles, Industry 4.0 applications, and next-generation communication systems like 5G and IoT.

Admission Process For Indian National Students
Admission to Under Graduate Engineering Programs
MVJ College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.
Admission to MVJCE undergraduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process or through the Management admission process.
Karnataka Common Entrance Test
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted in the month of April every year. Students wishing to obtain admission to colleges affiliated to VTU have to write the KCET test. Based on the ranking obtained by the student in the KCET, admission may be obtained during the CET counseling Process.
Management Admission Process
Karnataka and Non-Karnataka students wishing to seek admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management admission process are requested to contact the admission cell at the college campus directly and obtain the admission application form.
The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.

Admission Process For International/NRI Students
College has not provided its hostel this year affiliated with a PG. PG is good with no restrictions, good infrastructure, and good food. PG is located near the college and they provide transportation facilities to college.
