Eligibility Criteria

Requirements for joining B.E Program in Information Science and Engineering
If you are a born problem-solver with a fetish for working with latest tools and technologies, if you are curious about computer networking and data storage, then Information Science and Engineering is the right course for you, and MVJCE is the right place to study this.
Besides this, all Indian students applying for the B.E Information Science and Engineering program must fulfil the following requirements:
a) CET Quota Students:
- Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects.
- Must have secured an aggregate of at least 45% in Math andPhysics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Must have cleared KCET.
b) Management Quota Direct Admission students:
- Must have passed the Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard or equivalent, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Must have cleared any of the following entrance examinations: KCET, COMEDK, UGET, AMPCK, JEE.
- Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.
c) Students in the SC/ST and CAT1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B categories:
- Must have secured a minimum aggregate of 40% in the qualifying examination.
- Must have cleared KCET
d) International/NRI students:
- Must have passed anexam equivalent to Second Year of Pre-university or 12th standard, with English as one of the subjects and obtained an aggregate of at least 60% in Math and Physics, along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Biology / Electronics / Computer Science.
- Must clear the interview and written test that will be conducted by the College, as mandated by the University.
- International / NRI students are requested to directly contact the Admission Cell at the college campus and obtain the Application Form.
Note:
A student who has passed the qualifying exam (PUC, 12th standard) from a recognized Board other than those mentioned by VTU, must obtain an Equivalence Certificate from the Association of Indian Universities (New Delhi). This certificate is mandatory for admission in the College.
e) B.E Lateral Entry: CET Admission Process
- Must have passed the Diploma or equivalent examination as recognized by the University, and secured not less than 45% marks in the final year examination (fifth and sixth semesters), in the relevant branch of Engineering. In the case of SC/ST and OBC students from Karnataka, the minimum marks for eligibility shall be 40%.
- Must have cleared the Entrance Test conducted by the Govt. of Karnataka (DCET – Diploma Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

Admission Process For Indian National Students

Admission to Under Graduate Engineering Programs

MVJ College of Engineering is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University.

Admission to MVJCE undergraduate programmes may be obtained through the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) examination and selection process or through the Management admission process.

Karnataka Common Entrance Test

The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is conducted in the month of April every year. Students wishing to obtain admission to colleges affiliated to VTU have to write the KCET test. Based on the ranking obtained by the student in the KCET, admission may be obtained during the CET counseling Process.

Management Admission Process

Karnataka and Non-Karnataka students wishing to seek admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management admission process are requested to contact the admission cell at the college campus directly and obtain the admission application form.

The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.

Students should have appeared in the any one of the below Examinations for Management admission process:

Karnataka Religious and Linguistic Minority Examination
All India Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE)

Admission Process For International/NRI Students

Like the city it is situated in the environment at MVJ College of Engineering is welcoming to people from all nationalities. The college provides a safe and secure environment for all the students and faculty.
International/NRI students wishing to seek admission at MVJ College of Engineering through the Management Admission Process are requested to contact the admission cell at the college campus directly and obtain the admission application form.
The selection process will be purely based on academic merit and aptitude of the student.
The students are not required to appear for any of the tests. The college will conduct an interview and assessment process prior to granting admission.

College Infrastructure

Our college comprises two structures, i.e., one designed for undergraduates and the other for postgraduates. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available on campus. Every stream includes labs related to their courses, as well as an online lab and library. A restaurant and a stationery shop are also located on campus.
