The college offers M.E/M.Tech programmes in Computer Science and Engineering, Information and Cyber Warfare, Embedded Systems Technologies, High Voltage Engineering, Energy Engineering branches. National Engineering College admissions to B.Tech programmes is based on the TNEA Counselling conducted by Anna University, Chennai. NEC Kovilpatti offers M.Tech programmes based on TANCET or GATE scores, as well as participation in Anna University's Tamil Nadu Common Admissions.
NEC Kovilpatti PG admissions are similarly divided into two categories: government and management quotas. Single window counselling is performed by Anna University, Chennai on behalf of the state government through TANCA for government quota admission (Tamil Nadu Common Admission). The Association of Engineering Colleges administers an entrance exam for management quota admission.

The Tamil Nadu Directorate of Technical Education then releases the TNEA cutoff for National Engineering College online.

As per your query I would glad to tell you that Mepco Schlenk Engineering College will be the better option as it holds 101 rank in nirf ranking 2020 .Moreover ,infrastructure of mepco is quite good and organized with latest technology of required equipments and computers . Faculities teaching practise is very innovative, they play a huge role in conducting fests. Around 80 percent of students get placed with an average package of 3.70 lakhs
