NCE is a newly established engineering college in Hassan, located in KIADB Thimmanahalli Industrial Area, along NH 75 in Karnataka. The admission processes of the college are structured along the guidelines laid out by the Government of Karnataka. NCE admits students based on merit in state-level and national-level entrance examinations.
For undergraduate admissions, the principal entrance examinations under NCE include the KEA CET and the COMEDK UGET. These entrance tests are held in the months of April-May every year and, for instance, COMEDK UGET 2025 is scheduled to be on May 9, 2025. Generally, the undergraduate eligibility criteria at NCE require the students to qualify for 10+2 or an equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. Though there might be some variance in terms of percentage requirements, an aggregate minimum of 45-50% marks is expected in these subjects.
NCE also provides admissions through management quotas. The quota is applicable to applicants from Karnataka or outside the state. It also caters to international students, especially those from SAARC countries.

BE (Bachelor of Engineering): NCE avails all the six full-time BE programs for four years. The admission to all BE programs is based on the outcome of either KEA CET or of COMEDK UGET. The sanctioned intake under all BE programs is 330 from across all BE branches.
The programs include:
1. BE Civil Engineering (30 seats)
2. BE Computer Science and Engineering (240 seats)
3. BE Electronics and Communication Engineering (90 seats)
4. BE Artificial Intelligence and Data Science (60 seats)
5. BE Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (60 seats)
Candidates must qualify for either the KEA CET or the COMEDK UGET examination in order to enroll in one of these BE programs. Admission to any specific BE course is based on the same admission process, which allocates seats based on candidates' performance in the entrance exams.
MCA (Master of Computer Applications): NCE has introduced an MCA program with 60 seats as approved intake. For MCA, the pattern of admission does not follow that of BE programs. Students need to augment their prospects with a valid GATE score or qualify in the PGCET / KMAT Karnataka examination. Specific eligibility conditions for MCA possibly include bachelor's degree in a relevant area with minimum percentage marks as prescribed by the college.
