Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronics and Communication Engineering is a four-year full-time undergraduate program offered by Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, and approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE).

Eligibility Criteria

The student should have passed the 2nd PUC / 12th standard or equivalent examination with English as one of the languages and obtained 45% of marks in aggregate in Physics and Mathematics along with Chemistry / Bio-Technology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology. In the case of candidates belonging to Karnataka Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, and Other Backward Classes (Category I, 2A, 2B, 3A, and 3B), the minimum marks for the purpose of eligibility will be 40% of marks in aggregate in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR NRI’S/PIO/OCI

10 + 2 pattern of education which is equivalent to Pre-university of Karnataka, India with Physics, Mathematics along with Chemistry / Biotechnology / Computer Science / Electronics / Biology as optional with English as one of the languages of study and obtained a minimum 50% of marks in the optional subjects (as per VTU eligibility criteria for the year 2019-20).

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR CITIZENS OF INDIA

A candidate who has passed 10 + 2 patterns of examination (equivalent to the two years Pre University in Karnataka) with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics as optional subjects in the qualifying examination is eligible to pursue an undergraduate degree in engineering at MSRIT.

The eligibility for admission is 45% in the case of the General Category and 40% marks in the qualifying examination in the case of SC/ST, Category-1, and OBC Category candidates. The marks obtained by the candidate in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Computer Science/ Electronics in the qualifying examination will be considered in the place of Chemistry in case the marks obtained in Chemistry are less than the required aggregate percentage for the purpose of determination of eligibility (and not for the purpose of determination of rank, in respect of engineering/technology courses).

Admission Details

Admission for all Indian students is as per the norms of the Government of Karnataka (GoK).

NCE admits students through Entrance tests such as CET, COMED-K, and others. Students are also admitted under the Management quota.

Admission through the Management Admission process is open to both Karnataka and non-Karnataka students. SAARC and Other Foreign students are also eligible to apply.

Admission to B. E is through CET, COMED–K, or management quota.

Good infrastructure with Clean classes, well furnished rooms for the students to study in, fully functional projectors, seminar rooms, laboratories ,Big library with all kinds of informative books and magazines.
