Nibedita Institute of Technology, Sagarpara Admission Process

Nibedita Institute of Technology, Sagarpara (NIT Sagarpara), is a government-approved institute, providing diploma courses in engineering disciplines. There is a planned admission process carried out by the institute to choose good students for its six diploma programmes. The major channel for admission to NIT Sagarpara is the Joint Entrance Examination for Polytechnic West Bengal (JEXPO), which is a unified entrance examination for the polytechnic institutes of the state.

The Nibedita Institute of Technology admission process generally follows the schedule of JEXPO and is typically performed in the early part of the year. The future candidates must sit for the JEXPO exam, and their performance on this test contributes significantly to their selection at NIT Sagarpara. Overall, the total intake capacity for the institute by all of its diploma courses stands at 608 students, meaning that the choice process is fiercely competitive.

Admission eligibility criteria for Nibedita Institute of Technology  diploma courses are normally passing the 10th standard or equivalent from a recognised board of studies. They should have been studying Mathematics and Physical Science as mandatory subjects. The exact admission eligibility criteria and cut-off rank can differ depending on the concerned diploma programme and candidate pool competition in a particular year.

The procedure of admission at NIT Sagarpara is a sequence of steps:

      • JEXPO Registration: The candidates are required to register for the JEXPO exam on the official website of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
      • Entrance Examination: Attend the JEXPO exam on the given date. The test typically examines candidates' knowledge in mathematics, physical science, and English.
      • Result Announcement: Wait for the announcement of results in JEXPO. Candidates who pass JEXPO will become eligible for the counselling procedure.
      • Counselling Registration: The students who are to be selected should register themselves under the centralised counselling process of the West Bengal State Council of Technical Education.
      • Filling of Choices: The students during counselling can fill out their choices freely in institutes and courses, i.e., NIT Sagarpara and diploma courses offered there.
      • Seat Allotment: The seat is allotted based on the rank of the candidate in JEXPO and filled preferences. If a seat is allotted in NIT Sagarpara, the candidate may go for admission.
