      NIT Polytechnic Nagpur offers admission to various diploma programmes such as civil engineering, computer engineering. electrical engineering, E&T engineering, and mechanical engineering. NIT Polytechnic admission to these courses is based on merit.

      NIT Polytechnic admissions are done through a centralised admission process (CAP). Students can take NIT Polytechnic Nagpur admission in the first year if they have completed SSC from a recognised board. For second year admission at NIT Polytechnic Nagpur, students must have completed HSC with PCM from a recognised board.

      For the second year, one must pass class 12th with PCM subject and score a minimum of 35% marks.

      NIT Polytechnic Nagpur Diploma Admission Process 2026

      • Candidates must ensure that they meet minimum eligibility criteria for the specific desired course to avoid any further inconvenience.

      • Admission will be done through a centralised admission process (CAP).

      • NIT Polytechnic has a centralised allotment procedure in which 80% seats are filled through CAP, whereas 20% seats are reserved for institutional quota admission.

      • Shortlisted candidates have to confirm the NIT Polytechnic Nagpur admission by submitting the documents for verification and paying the fees.

      Documents Required for NIT Polytechnic Nagpur Admission

      • Original and a copy of the statement of SSC marks.

      • Original and a copy of the School Leaving Certificate of the institute last attended.

      • Original and a copy of the statement of HSC marks. (if available)

      • Original and a copy of the Caste Certificate for the Backward Class Candidate

      • Non-Creamy Layer Certificate, only VJ, DT (A), NT (B), NT (C), NT (D), OBC, SBC, and category.

      • Original Copy of Domicile Certificate

      • True Copy of Aadhar Card

      Note: All these documents will be verified by DTE, and once document verification and confirmation of admission will be done, then the documents will be given back to the students.
