Eligibility Criteria
Students who have passed PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the subjects Chemistry /Computer Science / Electronics/ Biotechnology / Biology, with at least 45% of marks (40% in case of candidate belonging to reserved category as per Government order) in the above subjects taken together.
Lateral Entry
- No candidate shall be eligible for admission to Government Seats unless he is a citizen of India and satisfies eligibility conditions. He/she should have appeared for DCET examination.
- Each condition is specified as a clause and is individually referred by a code. The documents to be produced during verification of documents in support of the claim for each of the Clauses.
- The candidates who do not satisfy any of the Clauses / Eligibility Criteria and the candidates who do not produce the prescribed documents in original will not be eligible for admission to professional courses under Government quota seats.
- Other than the certificate mentioned in clauses, if a candidate claiming seat under Article 371 (j) Hyderabad-Karnataka region reservation, candidate should produce eligibility certificate from the concerned Assistant Commissioner in Annexure-A as per the format.
Admission Details
For admission under management quota, students should compulsorily appeared in CET/COMEDK/JEE or any other entrance test for professional program.

Poor management and teaching leave students unprepared.
College Infrastructure
The infrastructure of PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shivamogga, is functional, but it has several areas that need improvement to match the standards of other well-established engineering colleges. While the campus is spacious, certain buildings appear old and require renovation. Some classrooms still lack modern teaching aids like high-quality projectors and audio systems, which can affect the overall learning experience. The library has a good collection of books, but the seating arrangement and digital resource access could be improved to make it more student-friendly. The laboratories are usable, but many departments require updated equipment and better maintenance to support practical learning effectively. Hostel facilities are available, yet cleanliness, water supply, and Wi-Fi connectivity are often inconsistent. The campus also needs more shaded sitting areas, well-maintained restrooms, and improved sports infrastructure. Although the environment is peaceful and green, the overall infrastructure feels a bit underdeveloped compared to the expectations of students pursuing professional courses. Upgrading facilities, introducing smart classrooms, improving hostel conditions, and enhancing campus connectivity would significantly elevate the student experience and academic environment in the college.
