Poor management and teaching leave students unprepared.

      Academics

I'm studying computer science and design and quality of the teaching is not too good. Not even having specific classrooms labs etc,Bad academics in college affect both learning and confidence. When teachers lack skill or interest, students struggle to understand concepts. Poor curriculum, limited lab access, and outdated materials reduce creativity and growth. Without proper feedback or encouragement, students lose focus and motivation. Over time, this leads to poor results, fewer opportunities, and low job readiness. A college with weak academics fails to inspire curiosity and innovation, leaving students unprepared for real-world challenges.

      College Infra

The infrastructure of PES Institute of Technology and Management, Shivamogga, is functional, but it has several areas that need improvement to match the standards of other well-established engineering colleges. While the campus is spacious, certain buildings appear old and require renovation. Some classrooms still lack modern teaching aids like high-quality projectors and audio systems, which can affect the overall learning experience. The library has a good collection of books, but the seating arrangement and digital resource access could be improved to make it more student-friendly. The laboratories are usable, but many departments require updated equipment and better maintenance to support practical learning effectively. Hostel facilities are available, yet cleanliness, water supply, and Wi-Fi connectivity are often inconsistent. The campus also needs more shaded sitting areas, well-maintained restrooms, and improved sports infrastructure. Although the environment is peaceful and green, the overall infrastructure feels a bit underdeveloped compared to the expectations of students pursuing professional courses. Upgrading facilities, introducing smart classrooms, improving hostel conditions, and enhancing campus connectivity would significantly elevate the student experience and academic environment in the college.

      Campus Life

Poor campus life makes college dull and uninspiring. When there are no events, clubs, or student activities, learning feels lifeless. Strict rules, poor facilities, and lack of interaction reduce creativity and social growth. A bad environment with limited freedom or support affects mental well-being and motivation. Good campus life should build friendships, confidence, and teamwork — not stress or boredom. Without a lively and supportive atmosphere, students miss the true experience of college beyond academics.

      Placements

Poor placement in college leaves students anxious about their future. When there’s no proper training, weak industry ties, and few company visits, students miss real job opportunities. Lack of soft skills, resume support, and interview guidance makes it harder to compete. Colleges with poor placement records often fail to connect education with real careers. This leads to disappointment, underemployment, and a loss of confidence among graduates. Good academics alone aren’t enough — without strong placement support, students struggle to turn their hard work into success.

      Value For Money

A college with poor value for money wastes students’ time and resources. High fees with low-quality teaching, outdated labs, and poor placement make education feel useless. Students expect good facilities, skilled faculty, and career support for what they pay. When these are missing, frustration grows, and the degree loses its worth. True value comes from learning, exposure, and opportunities — not just paying for a name. A college that fails to deliver on its promises gives neither knowledge nor return on investment.

      Placements

The placement opportunities in our college are not up to the mark. Very few reputed companies visit the campus, and most of the time, the offers are limited to low-paying roles in support or BPO sectors. Core companies for computer science and design students rarely visit, and even when they do, the selection process is poorly managed.

Always thinking about leaving the clg from the day one.

      Academics

I feel like, i don't know what I am studying and why am I studying ,even don't know the course full names ,the faculties don't know what they are doing even they don't have knowledge in their respective fields they can do the 1 module for 1 month and also they can do 3 module in 1 month and can skip 1 module like they don't exist in syllabus ,All the faculties are eating snacks in the staff room Like it is their duty. They sound like pros in motivating students, they change their tune and talks differently depends on who is listening.

      College Infra

Yes we have good infrastructure, whenever I try to fit my bag in a desk it doesn't fit, and in the lab the most of the systems used as showcase thing so we use our own laptop, we can found dogs and cats in our campus but not able to connect to the network ,the speed of the network is ' I don't know ' because I never able to connect to our clg portal ,living space will be cleaned after we finished classes ,we don't know the food in canteen is hygienic or not but we know it is tasteless

      Campus Life

The worst is Attendance ,we just have to attend so many events even if we don't know about the event likewise we can get attendance rather than zone out in classroom.

      Placements

Placement is really dissapointed, companies are shown up barely and just a talk and selects only 1-5 students and disappear just like that ,they offer a very low package but expects a most skilled students we don't get support and preparation classes for placements ,they hyped it up starting, but reality is only known by those who are struggling.

      Value For Money

All the money spend in college is really not worth ,we don't get any learning experience or a career opportunities that we expect.
