Life at pgdav was okay okay

    College Infrastructure

Some blocks are not well maintained and there is lack of connection in our college. We have spacious classrooms and labs ,labs have AC facility. Library is quite good with lots of books and journals and we have one of the biggest canteen in du

    Academics

Bcom faculty was really good and they are PhD holders. They are very helpful and Quality of teaching is too good but sometimes they are not motivated to teach which decreases student morale. Curriculum is relevant as it is restructured asper NEP but I feel it is not enough to make students industry ready.

    Placements

Placements in our college are average. Only few students get placed . Few companies come for hiring but they do mass hiring giving only package of 2.8 lpa . Only 20% students from our batch received placement offers. Highest placement was 5 lpa

In my opinion my college infrastructure was not so good as the faculty is also dumb they are not taking anything seriously as they are only very mean to their salary not towards the student. But the principal was very good as her name is prof krishna sharma

    Academics

In my opinion at the time when i am studing there acdamics was not average. Now it is improving gradually so in my conclusion betterment was coming slowly but gradually as god knows . But i think it starts changing now

    Placements

My college has no placement facilities in the college as it promises only for the placement but they are actually not given any type of placement it was a scam towards a student life as ithey push the students towards the dark side

    College Infrastructure

At my PGDAVE college, we are fortunate to have a wide range of facilities. These include recreational spaces like a gym, cricket ground, and a serene park. The college offers a vibrant canteen and cafeteria for students to enjoy. Additionally, we are proud of our well-stocked library, equipped with over 100000 books, modern computers, a dedicated staff, and a comfortable environment with ac.

    Academics

I'm currently enrolled in the B.Com program at PGDAV College, driven by my keen interest in the field of commerce. The faculty members are not only proficient in teaching but also approachable and friendly. Being part of the first batch under the New Education Policy (NEP) reflects our college's commitment to staying abreast of educational advancements and delivering the best knowledge and courses to us

    Placements

In terms of placements, our college boasts a robust placement cell that facilitates internships and job opportunities for students. While the overall placement scenario is decent, the Placement Cell actively works to connect students with valuable experiences and placements. It's a resourceful avenue for those seeking career opportunities

    Value for Money

Absolutely, studying here is worthwhile. The cost for the B.Com program is quite reasonable, around 15k per year.

    Campus Life

Our campus is rich with various amenities, including swings, a cafeteria, canteen, seating areas, parks, and more.

    Academics

Currently i am studying B.com and the reason behind studying this is that i wanted to know different things in commerce word and its different domain and i that that this would be a great choice. Yes my curriculum is updated new education police 2020 used for teaching us.

    Placements

Last year in our college 91 company came in college and hired near about 250-300 studen out of a pool of 900but the thing is that companies didn't give good package that is the biggest problem. Our average package is 6lpa but media is near abiut 3-4 lpa

    Value for Money

From the perspective of college life and activities some good private college aslo can't complete with pgdav college in very less fees. Fir us (B.com) last year fees was 13805 rs which very less also student got placed here so yes it is a value for money.

    Campus Life

Campus life is very good better than many private college also we have good gender diversity 5b:3g but one thing is little bit prblamatic is that our college do not offer hostels so this is problem other wise everything is good.

    Exploring

    College Infrastructure

You will find everything that's required for daily necessities that should be available in a college. But it would be more appreciated if it was maintained well. It needs more cleanliness and hygiene facilities.

    Academics

I graduated with a degree in bachelor of commerce honours. There were many teachers I interacted with during my first and second year. But I can't really say much about the faculty after that as I was more engaged in internships. But overall, you will encounter all kind of teachers, be it friendly, strict, knowledgeable,.

    Placements

Honestly I didn't appear for the placement due to some reasons but as per my knowledge, the placement cell does a comparative nice job. Many of my friends were placed who appeared for the placements. ..

    Value for Money

It is a goverment college so you can estimate the fees. I was a bcom honours student and the fee was approx 13000-14000 per year. It's an average college but as per the fee, I guess it was quite worth it.

    Campus Life

There are many different societies contributing to personal growth. Join atleast one of the societies if you want to get some practical view and also enjoy your college life. Enhance your creative and practical side.

    It was average.

    College Infrastructure

You will find all the necessities but would appreciate if they are maintained better. The college must work more on the hygiene factor mainly the cleanliness of washrooms. Library and laboratories are rather well equipped.

    Academics

Depends upon the faculty teaching you. Some teachers Excel but some are below average. You will find the classroom engaging and interesting with some faculties and boring with the others. It merely depends upon the sole interest of individual faculty is to teach and impart knowledge or rather just get their job done by delivering lectures irrespective of making the class interactive.

    Placements

Placements rate is good. There are a lot of good companies that appear for their placement drives including deloitte and many more. I didn't appear for the drives for some reasons but as for my friends who appeared all are placed with good starting package.

    Value for Money

The course costs around 13-14k per year. As for the value for money, I'd say it's average.

    Campus Life

There are multiple societies you can enroll into and they are all active throughout the year. They bring the creative side out of you. If you are looking for a campus life, get yourself enrolled in atleast one.

    College Infrastructure

My college have very basic infrastructure and facilities for the students we don’t have lavish facilities provided to us and our classrooms also don’t have smart boards and the library has good amount of books.

    Academics

Quality of teaching is okay and some professors are so good that you will not required to get any extra courses. Especially professors related to core syllabus are more knowledgeable. Professors made students industry knowledgeable.

    Placements

The placements were pretty good, we had more software companies and core companies were also some what good. The average salary provided was 5LPA. The college was more supportive in placing the students in right position

Have a question related to PGDAV College, Delhi ?

    Dear Yaswanth,

Pannalal Girdharlal Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College is a constituent college of University of Delhi ( PGDAV College). It has various facilities like d igital library, e xcellent cultural societies, go od infrastructure, top notch placement record etc.

B.A hons. Political Science will majorly focus on Political Science subject whereas only studying B.A political Science, you will study all the subjects in equal proportions. The college also works to enhances your skills. I would say Choose your area of interest. Scope wise both (hons. And non hons.) are quite competitive.

Talking about UPSC, it covers all the aspects of every subject you are opting for. Considering this, B.A Political Science would be a better course to choose for as it will cover all your subjects equally rather than just focussing on Political Science.

Rest is your decision. Please choose wisely.

    Hope this sorted your query.

    All the Best!!

    Hi Virat

PGDAV is a good college but placements here are not good. It's accreditation is NAAC B. The faculty here is well qualified. The ranking of college depends upon various factors. However as per previous nirf rankings, this college was not under the list.

But no doubt it is one of the oldest constituent colleges of the top ranking University of Delhi.
