RIIM - The Academy School of Business Management, Pune Admission Process

RIIM-Maharashtra State can boast of having superlative faculty and deep corporate connections which can empower an exclusive internship experience in coaching deserving students. Admission at RIIM is very selective and quite conscious about bringing in the best out of many applications and applicants vying for its top choice management programs. RIIM academics follow an annual cycle, which begins by opening the admission window at the start of the August-September academic session. The procedure follows after the entrance examinations are conducted, where students are admitted based on their scores obtained in the national-level entrance examination relevant to the particular program. Among the entrance exams accepted by RIIM for its MBA and PGDM programs are CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, MAH MBA CET, and GMAT. Availability and admission dates, in any case, seem to revolve around any relevant entrance exam that the candidates might be subjected to.

Application Process

The Application Procedure for RIIM Academy School of Business Management, Pune, is stated as follows:

1. Entrance Exams: Candidates must write any entrance exam accepted for admissions (CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, MAH MBA CET, GMAT).

2. Application Form: Upon receipt of an entrance exam result, an entry will be filled out for RIIM via the website.

3. Document Submission: Candidates must submit duly filled-out application forms with the following documents:

Entrance exam scorecard
Bachelor's degree certificate and mark sheets
10th and 12th-standard mark sheets
Work experience certificate (if applicable)
Passport-size photographs
Other certificates, if any, as specified by the institute

4. Application Fee: Candidates may have to pay an application fee. The actual amount must be confirmed from the institute's website or admission office.

5. Shortlisting: Based on the entrance exam scores and academic performance, RIIM will shortlist the candidates for the next selection process.

6. Interview: Candidates called for the personal interview round usually will be shortlisted. Here, the institute seeks to gauge the personality, communication skills, and general fitness of the candidate for the program.

7. The final selection: the entrance exam score, academic marks, work experience (if any), and personal interview score shall form the basis for the final selection.

8. Offer Letter: Selected candidates shall be informed about through an offer letter from RIIM. The candidates are then expected to accept the offer letter and complete admission processing including payment of fees within the stipulated time.

Admission Process by Degree

MBA: RIIM offers a two-year regular MBA program, having a capacity of 180 seats. The admission procedure is based on valid scores of any one of the accepted entrance exams-CAT, XAT, CMAT, MAT, MAH MBA CET, and GMAT- awarded to applicants with a recognized bachelor's degree. Total fee for MBA is Rs. 540000.

PPGM: RIIM presents a two-year, full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). The process for admission to the PGDM follows procedures similar to the MBA program and accepts the same battery of entrance examinations for consideration. The number of seats for the title of PGDM is not advertised; however, the total fee for PGDM is Rs. 675000.
