Its very contradictory but UPES and AMITY almost have similar kind of infrastructure. But AMITY have slightly better curriculum. Also the faculties are good for the colleges but the proportional infrastructure in Labs and placements is slightly higher in the case of AMITY. So you can choose UPES/AMITY any one and it will not create significant deviation.

The eligibility criteria for UPES Gaziabad is stated below:

Minimum 50% marks in Class X & XII. Minimum 50% in PCM (Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics) in Class XII.

Now for admission you have two ways to opt :

• The first way is the UPESAT examination which is a entrance examination organized by the institute.
• If you have Minimum 80% Marks at Higher and Senior Secondary Level and Minimum 80% aggregate in PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Math’s) at Senior Secondary Level, then you can apply for the examination without any exam and on the basis of merit ranking you will get admission.
• JEE MAINS:  Minimum 50% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary Level (10 th & 12 th ) and minimum 50% aggregate in PCM (Physics, chemistry & mathematics) at Senior Secondary Level (12 th Class) and JEE Main cut-off Rank to be announced (on UPES website) after the declaration of JEE Mains Results.

I would suggest you to prefer CSE at UPES over Northcape. UPES is one of the best Private Universities in North India having excellent faculty, infrastructure, placements besides having a string curriculum providing effective Engineering Education. Last Placement Season, CSE had 100% Placements in UPES, with a median package anywhere between 5-6 LPA.

In UPSES these are the top branches with good placement and facility-

1- Applied Petroleum Engineering Upstream

2- Chemical Engineering Downstream

3- Automotive design engineering

But its not the matter of stream its actually the matter of interest, whether you're interested in these streams or not, there is too much students in these three streams in UPSES,  but these branch have high scope in UPES like private colleges but CSE has the scope all over the India. So just go with your interest, if you choose upper three then there is high chances that you get placed, and in CSE you can also be placed but not have a surety in UPES.

Hello aspirant, first of all congratulations on getting a seat in CSE seat in Amity Noida and UPES. Both institutes are private institutes and are good for software engineering. However UPES is mainly known for Petroleum related studies and Amity is slightly better for studying CSE. It has a huge infrastructure and good faculty. Amity also has  better placement records than UPES for CSE students. Many companies visit the college for placements because of its location in Greater Noida. Academics are also up to date with latest technology and so I will suggest you to go for Amity Noida.
