hi,

I assume you are asking about lovely professional university and The University of Petroleum and Energy Studies , among which  would be the right choice to do bachelor of technology course. see both of the institute has excellent infrastructure, college facility like hostels, lab facility, extra curricular activities. you did not mention in which of the stream you want to take admission. but based on placement analysis of the both college I would prefer lpu over upes. there is multiple mncs visits lpu campus and there is many core company for electrical and mechanical engineering, civil engineering visits the campus along with IT companies. so lpu would be the best choice for which ever stream you may take admission.

Hi there,

After understanding your query, I get to know that you are appearing in UPES examination.

See, if you are talking about entrance examination then it completely depends upon your level of preparation.

UPES DEHRADUN is one of the finest colleges in India that provides better academics and placements as well.

See, if you want to take admission  then you need to clear their entrance test which is not very difficult.  You just need to polish your concepts deeply and then use it in the examination.

If you are about to give acadmeic examination then it depends upon how you were taught in classroom.

Check previous year papers for better reach.

I hope this information will help you.

Thank you and good luck:)

Hi aspirant,

UPES hands down. There is no comparison between the two schools. The College of Management & Economics Studies of UPES provides way better internships, certifications, industry recognised degrees, domain tailored MBAs, and finally, better job offers. They hold around 95% placement stats and serious students have landed up in Crisil, KPMG, Amazon, etc. with 6 digit salaries, which in a few cases exceeds those of IIMs. Generally, ROI too would be better than that of an ICFAI or DBS for most pupils. It is true UPES is not in the league of IIMs and other top privates, but then again it is not in the league of those like DBS. So if fees is not an issue for you, and you manage to clear the entrance procedures, UPES of course is a better option.

hope this may help you

best of luck

If you want to go for the course of Engineering, then you can't appear for the UPESAT examination as for UPESAT the upper age limit is fixed. For 2021, the age limit was that student born after or on October 1, 2000 are eligible. So as you can see that the upper age limit is around 21. As you have crossed the age limit you can't appear for it. But you can always apply for state Engineering for which in most of the cases there is no age limit.

Apart from this you can take admission in BSc courses as well or if you have done Diploma in any of the engineering stream then you can consider to go for the Lateral Entry BTech admission, in which you will be provided admission directly to the 2nd year of BTech/BE.

I hope this answer provides you some insight. Wish you a great eve!
